Zargan ol Basreh (Persian: زرگان البصره) is a village in, and the capital of, Zargan Rural District of Veys District, Bavi County, Khuzestan province, Iran.[3]

History

After the National Census of 2006, Anaqcheh Rural District and Bavi District were separated from Ahvaz County in the establishment of Bavi County, which was divided into two districts of two rural districts each, with the city of Mollasani as its capital. Zargan Rural District was created in the new Veys District.[3]

Population

At the time of the 2011 census, the village's population was 736 people in 170 households. The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 795 people in 202 households.[2]
