Zangebar Rural District (Persian: دهستان زنگبار)[3] is in the Central District of Poldasht County, West Azerbaijan province, Iran.[4] Its capital is the village of Bohlulabad.[5]

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the rural district's population (as a part of the former Poldasht District of Maku County) was 11,154 in 2,496 households.[6] There were 11,096 inhabitants in 2,814 households at the following census of 2011,[7] by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Poldasht County. The rural district was transferred to the new Central District.[4] The 2016 census measured the population of the rural district as 10,574 in 2,864 households. The most populous of its 43 villages was Bohlulabad, with 1,326 people.[2]
