AI slop and misrepresentation of sources

[edit]

@Anotheryinzer and Brianda (Wiki Ed): Your students are inserting LLM slop and then slapping sources to ostensibly support statements the likes of which appear nowhere in the sources. It should not be volunteers' job to keep student editors from degrading the quality of our articles. Please impress on your students that misrepresenting sources is tantamount to vandalism and supervise them before they bring such content into the main namespace. @Nardog, thanks for bringing this to our attention. There are a lot of concerning edits and editing behavior in this situation, and I've started discussing them with @Anotheryinzer and the student editor. Apologies for the frustrations. Brianda (Wiki Ed) (talk) 20:15, 13 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
