Estonian
[edit]Hi, I saw your message on WP Skepticism. I can help with Estonian, and I'm interested in skepticism itself. :) — Jeraphine Gryphon (talk) 07:27, 11 April 2015 (UTC)
- Great, pleased to meet you Jeraphine! Could help with expanding the Estonian page et:skeptik.ee, and then translating its information to the English page skeptik.ee? That would be very much appreciated. I've already added their logo a while ago, and included their challenge in the list of prizes for evidence of the paranormal. - PS: I've been to Tallinn in 2010 and learnt some words and phrases; at the end of the week I could hold very basic conversations with Estonians, but by now I'm afraid that besides 'Tere!', 'Juust', 'Venemaa' and 'Vabandust!' I've pretty much forgotten it all, so I'm very glad to find someone else who knows proper Estonian.
- Actually I work better in English so I would probably start with the English article. It's been on my to-do list, but... I'm not completely sure what to do about it. — Jeraphine Gryphon (talk) 12:37, 11 April 2015 (UTC)
- Writing an article about anything always starts with finding reliable sources to base the text on. I expected such sources about skeptik.ee to be mainly written in Estonian (and some simple Google searches for 'skeptik.ee' seem to confirm that, while LexisNexis yielded no results), so I would recommend you to start from there, and then translate it to English. Several prominent Estonian newspapers seem to mention skeptik.ee (and its chairman (?) Martin Vällik) every now and then, including recently:
- Is that enough to help you on your way? Feel free to ask more questions. :) Nederlandse Leeuw (talk) 18:36, 11 April 2015 (UTC)
