A tip from Zppix

 Done

Use the {{helpme}} template in your talk page to request help at anytime. Wikipedia experienced editors are always willing to help!

Thanks Zppix for this tip idea. Today I merged tips for February 25 and August 25 tips Where to look for help. While your tip about asking for help is related to these, it can be written up as a new tip (see below). Cheers! JoeHebda (talk) 21:35, 21 December 2015 (UTC)

(January 28) - How to request help on your talk page

Within Wikipedia, you may ask for help at:

  • Reference desk (interactive research on any topic‍—‌ even off-Wiki subjects)
  • Help desk (interactive help with editing, policies and guidelines)
  • Teahouse (interactive help for new editors)
  • Village pump (interactive help with technical issues)

In addition, you can add the {{help me}} template in your Talk page to request help at anytime. If you need to escalate to a Wikipedia administrator use this one: {{admin help}} (including the four curly braces).

Copy the following template code on to your Talk page to request help at any time:
{{edit|Special:MyTalk|{{icon|Q}} '''Ask for help on your talk page'''|section=new|preload=Help:Contents/helpmepreload|preloadtitle=Help me!}}

It will generate a link like this:
 Ask for help on your talk page

which you can leave on your Talk page permanently.
