About the dates
As per my knowledge and reading till date there is date conflict in this document. The year mentioned 1640-41 doesn't look correct since considering this sort of offensive by King Shivaji needs military of good strength. Also if this incident happened in 1640-41 then the person must be someone else than King Shivaji. Since King Shivaji's birth is of 1630 (or 1627 conflicted). Considering any of the years for his birth he could only be of age 10 (13 conflicted) when this incident happened. As per history King Shivaji started his work at the age of 16 only and not before that. So this date must be 1660-61 since this must have happened after King Shivaji killed Afzal Khan in 1659 and not before that. King Shivaji took Javali and then kiled Afzal. This made him free from worries of Adil shahi of Vijapur. And then in 1660 he launched attacks in Konkan region. So the dates has to 1660-61. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sandeepnshelke (talk • contribs) 14:53, 13 August 2011 (UTC)
