Naisten Liiga Initiative
[edit]Welcome to the Naisten Liiga initiative of the Women's Ice Hockey Task Force. The initiative hopes to continuously improve the coverage of women’s ice hockey in Finland on English Wikipedia, with emphasis on the Naisten Liiga and Naisten Mestis. All are welcome to join in the effort, no prior knowledge necessary. Kiitos!

[edit]The following players have played at least one game in the Naisten Liiga (called Naisten SM-sarja, 1982–2017). They have been selected as likely to meet WP:GNG, i.e. have quality coverage from multiple, reliable sources over time.
NOTE: Previously, women’s ice hockey players who had participated in a Top Division tournament of the IIHF Women's World Championship or played in the Olympics were explicitly included in the ice hockey notability guidelines (WP:NHOCKEY). At this time, no women are included in the ice hockey notability guidelines and all players must meet WP:GNG to have an article. If a player participated in the World Championship (WW) and/or Olympic Games (OG), the tournament or tournaments are listed alongside player name as WW[YEAR] or OG[YEAR].
