The 1990s birth template has gone over 60 articles. I suggest creating Category German football forward, 1990s birth stubs since the template has already been created. --MrLinkinPark333 (talk) 21:41, 25 July 2014 (UTC)
- Support as an existing template with enough uses for a category. עוד מישהו Od Mishehu 13:32, 27 July 2014 (UTC)

I propose creating state tags for this cateory, and categories for any state with enough stubs (this would include any state with a full-sized sports venue category) and for the 4 regions (based on the Category:United States building and structure stubs tree). In addition to venues, this would include sports teams, major compititions, etc. עוד מישהו Od Mishehu 05:44, 21 July 2014 (UTC)

I'm in the middle of sorting out Category:Chicago, Illinois building and structure stubs, and I've passed 200. One possible subcat which seems obvious here is Category:Chicago, Illinois railway station stubs/{{Chicago-railstation-stub}}, which already has 59 stubs and will probably go higher - a likely scan gives 82. עוד מישהו Od Mishehu 13:17, 20 July 2014 (UTC)

While sorting these stubs, I've noticed that there are some German footballers in this category who were born in the 1880s. They are currently tagged with {{Germany-footy-forward-stub}}. Since there is no category for the 1880s, I suggest making an upmerged template. {{Germany-footy-forward-1880s-stub}} --MrLinkinPark333 (talk) 20:56, 19 July 2014 (UTC)
- Speedy create as aprt of an established pattern with some pages which could use it. עוד מישהו Od Mishehu 14:58, 20 July 2014 (UTC)

The result of the debate was created; rename nomination for St. Louis is already made..
This category is oversized; after consulting with WikiProject Missouri, I think we should devide it based on List of Missouri conservation areas, which would be as follows:
- Category:Central Missouri geography stubs - consisting of Audrain, Boone, Callaway, Camden, Cole, Cooper, Gasconade, Howard, Maries, Miller, Montgomery, Moniteau, Morgan, Osage and Saline counties - 105 stubs
- Category:Kansas City, Missouri region geography stubs - consisting of Bates, Benton, Cass, Clay, Henry, Jackson, Johnson, Lafayette, Pettis, Platte, St. Clair and Vernon counties - 70 stubs
- Category:Northeast Missouri geography stubs - consisting of Adair, Clark, Knox, Lewis, Macon, Marion, Monroe, Pike, Putnam, Ralls, Randolph, Schuyler, Scotland, Shelby and Sullivan counties - 62 stubs
- Category:Northwest Missouri geography stubs - consisting of Andrew, Atchison, Buchanan, Caldwell, Carroll, Chariton, Clinton, Daviess, DeKalb, Gentry, Grundy, Harrison, Holt, Linn, Livingston, Mercer, Nodaway, Ray and Worth counties - 88 stubs
- Category:Ozark region, Missouri geography stubs - consisting of Carter, Dent, Douglas, Howell, Oregon, Ozark, Phelps, Pulaski, Ripley, Shannon, Texas and Wright counties - 106 stubs
- Category:Southeast Missouri geography stubs - consisting of Bollinger, Butler, Cape Girardeau, Dunklin, Iron, Madison, Mississippi, New Madrid, Pemiscot, Perry, Reynolds, Scott, Ste. Genevieve, St. Francois, Stoddard and Wayne counties - 137 stubs
- Category:Southwest Missouri geography stubs - consisting of Barry, Barton, Cedar, Christian, Dade, Dallas, Greene, Hickory, Jasper, Laclede, Lawrence, McDonald, Newton, Polk, Stone, Taney and Webster counties - 172 stubs
That leaves the St. Louis area, which has 8 counties - but doesn't quite correspond to Category:Greater St. Louis, Missouri, metropolitan area geography stubs, since it includes Crawford County and excludes St. Francois County; I was thinking that the best solution would be to nominate it for renaming and rescoping. עוד מישהו Od Mishehu 04:05, 18 July 2014 (UTC)

Requesting to rename the previously tacitly approved {{ROK-spacecraft-stub}} to {{SouthKorea-spacecraft-stub}}. This is the only stub template that uses the ROK (Republic of Korea) designation, instead of SouthKorea. Dawynn (talk) 12:12, 17 July 2014 (UTC)

Propose this as a bridging category. I plan to use it to gather the various European spacecraft templates, and include it as a sub-category under Category:European space programme stubs (as well as Category:Spacecraft stubs). With this hierarchy in place, it would not be necessary to tag spacecraft articles with a 2nd space programme tag.
Propose collecting these categories and templates:
- Category:Russian spacecraft stubs (95 P)
- Category:Soviet Union spacecraft stubs (357 P)
- {{Europe-spacecraft-stub}} (20 P)
- {{France-spacecraft-stub}} (22 P)
- {{Germany-spacecraft-stub}} (10 P)
- {{Italy-spacecraft-stub}} (5 P)
- {{Luxembourg-spacecraft-stub}} (9 P)
- {{Netherlands-spacecraft-stub}} (11 P)
- {{Norway-spacecraft-stub}} (5 P)
- {{Spain-spacecraft-stub}} (7 P)
- {{Sweden-spacecraft-stub}} (5 P)
- {{UK-spacecraft-stub}} (24 P)

Propose a couple new templates:
- {{inlinehockey-team-stub}}. To be used to prevent double-tagging with {{rollerhockey-team-stub}} and {{inlinehockey-stub}}. Double-upmerge to Category:Roller hockey team stubs and Category:Inline hockey stubs, until it can support its own Category:Inline hockey team stubs. {{rollerhockey-team-stub}} will then be used only for quad-skate teams.
- {{US-inlinehockey-team-stub}}. This will avoid additional overtagging with {{US-sport-team-stub}}. For now, feed this into Category:Roller hockey team stubs, Category:Inline hockey stubs, and Category:American sports team stubs.

The Louisville metropolitan area comprises 13 counties in north-central Kentucky and Southern Indiana. I had been errantly placing Louisville metro area articles into Category:Louisville, Kentucky stubs via {{Louisville-stub}}, and that category has been getting very fat (~1,000). So, I want to correct two problems at one time. At first, this category will be used to take everything from outside of Louisville, Kentucky (Louisville Metro). Later, this will be sorted into constituent county and subject (e.g. bio) stubs (given they are necessary). Here's one catscan that intersects Louisville, Kentucky stubs with just one constituent county, so if all constituent counties are taken into account, this will very much reduce Category:Louisville, Kentucky stubs. I propose creating Category:Chicago, Illinois building and structure stubs/{{Chicago-struct-stub}} - this would be the intersection of 2 categories, which has almost 150 right now - and there are probably a lot more. Given that Category:Chicago, Illinois stubs is oversized, I think we should create this. עוד מישהו Od Mishehu 13:03, 14 July 2014 (UTC)

The result of the debate was template created; articles tagged are not yet sufficient to require category..
There are at least 100 articles in the current Category:Wisconsin stubs which are biographies. Additionally, there is the daughter category Category:Wisconsin politician stubs, with four daughter categories of its own, and containing over 400 articles. I believe this may be an S2, but am not sufficiently familiar with this area of Wikipedia to say. --Orange Mike | Talk 18:32, 13 July 2014 (UTC)--Orange Mike | Talk 18:32, 13 July 2014 (UTC)
- Support but create
{{Wisconsin-bio-stub}}
too: the threshold for stub templates is lower than for stub cats, so if a cat is justifiable, the template must be as well. --Redrose64 (talk) 19:15, 13 July 2014 (UTC) - Not sure - how many of these 100 people are notable due to anything related to Wisconsin and are not politicians? Politicians in the US are always state-level, with the exception of candidates to become President or Vice President - and these usually had previous political roles. Any other person, though, is usually just some notable person who happens to have lived there - not enough to have them stub-tagged for it. עוד מישהו Od Mishehu 13:00, 14 July 2014 (UTC)
- Owners and founders of local busiinesses; ditto local sports teams; chancellors of major universities; heads of Wisconsin-based religious bodies -- need I go on? --Orange Mike | Talk 03:46, 16 July 2014 (UTC)
- Support with caution. Please only populate with people important for their impact on Wisconsin. For instance, the article on Augustin Langlade claims that his trading post helped establish what later became Green Bay, WI. But really -- Americans move around so much that, unless the person truly impacted the state in some way, there's no reason to tag them specific to the state. That all being said, precedent had already been set with other states (e.g. {{Texas-bio-stub}}). Dawynn (talk) 11:22, 1 August 2014 (UTC)

Proposing a template for category Category:European space programme stubs. Currently, the only template here is {{ESA-stub}}, but the category title does not restrict itself to just the one programme. Would like to have a template that could more generally apply to any European space programme or products of such programmes. Respondents: feel free to propose a better name for the template. I propose splitting this category into Category:Fungal plant disease stubs, Category:Water mould plant disease stubs and Category:Plant pathogenic nematode stubs. The plant disease category contains over 1400 stubs and more than half of these are fungal diseases. I expect that the fungal plant disease need to be subdivided further but that is beyond my technical knowledge.Staranise (talk) 07:01, 5 July 2014 (UTC)
- Support - would the template be {{fungus-plant-disease-stub}}? Just guessing per the existing sub-cat Category:Viral plant disease stubs. Pegship (talk) 18:47, 4 March 2016 (UTC)

Catscan does not indicate enough for a category at this time. Scans indicate somewhere between about 15 - 30 articles. Propose template for exploration.

Propose first creating {{Europe-lighthouse-stub}} as an exploratory template. Guessing that this won't take too long to fill, so also proposing the category now. In addition, propose building the following templates:
- {{Norway-lighthouse-stub}} (est. > 40 articles)
- {{UK-lighthouse-stub}} (est. > 20 articles)
With the Netherlands already having a tag with 15 articles, this should be easy to fill up the European category. Dawynn (talk) 23:36, 1 July 2014 (UTC)
- Support - Even if no other European country had any (which I find it hard to beleive), and even with a 25% false-positive rate (probably high for lighthouses), there would still be enough. עוד מישהו Od Mishehu 10:30, 2 July 2014 (UTC)
