Historic/artistic heritage

Bien de interés cultural is a general term; it includes more specific categories, such as monumento. If you read Spanish, es:Bien de interés cultural is informative about historic monuments etc, but hasn't got much to say about how es:Patrimonio Cultural Inmaterial (intangible cultural heritage in English) can be protected as bienes.

(an honorific title; "Beneméritos" means "meritorious" and functions here as an adjectival noun)

Culture events and issues

Castillo (pirotecnia)
  • Pyrotecnic structure which is arranged with the aim to cause several figure, effects, colour lights, etc. It is typical in Spanish festivities. This expression is not usually translated into English and a translation propose can be simply 'firework display'.
Chupinazo
  • An act which is carried out for opening a festivity and that consists in a rocket set off.[7]
Paella
  • Apart from being a typical dish, this name is also used to mass paella eating events. When this name is used in a massive universitary people event, it is not necessary the presence of the dish and it is usually a massive people event with food and drink stand and concerts.[8][9]
