- Ivan Shokoloff, deleted as a hoax on March 30, was recreated on April 12, 2006 by a "new" user. It has now been speedy deleted, but the fact that the article had been tweaked to make it look considerably more plausible suggests that we may be dealing with a dedicated and sneaky troll/vandal here. - Alexander Guchkov stubbed, to be expanded shortly. Ahasuerus 07:05, 23 April 2006 (UTC)
- Pyotr Valuev created, a glorified stub. The succession box should be probably replaced with two separate templates; Ignatyev's data needs to be corrected (he was an ambassador, not Chairman of the Committee of Ministers). Ahasuerus 07:05, 23 April 2006 (UTC)

- Moskovskyy Pyasatel and related articles Aleksandr Kulishov, Aleksei Anfinagenov, Vasily Golyshkin, Ninel Gromyko, Kim Kulishov, Ivan Voronkov, Vladimir Shchegolev by User:Abc85. What's a village in a village and how come they have a prime minister? Conscious 15:04, 22 April 2006 (UTC)
- Please post this bunch of nonsense for deletion. --Ghirla -трёп- 08:43, 24 April 2006 (UTC)
- I think all of these articles should be merged into the article of the village that it's part of (this is assuming that such a place exists, and that there's some real information in there). If it's all a joke, then yes, delete it. Esn 10:27, 24 April 2006 (UTC)
- Nonsense it is not, but it is definitely not encyclopedia-worthy. The article on Alyokhnovo is the only one that should be retained. "Московский писатель" (not "пясатель"!) is actually a horticulture club (садоводство) in the village [1] [2], and the folks listed as "prime-ministers" (I really got a kick out of that one) were most likely heading the club at one time or another. As to not waste anybody's time, I'll speedy this valuable information.—Ëzhiki (ërinacëus amurënsis) • (yo?); 14:32, 24 April 2006 (UTC)

- It's not something to be encouraged, though. The correct procedure would still be AfD; but it just hurts me to think what a waste of time it would have been for everybody.—Ëzhiki (ërinacëus amurënsis) • (yo?); 14:56, 25 April 2006 (UTC)

- What about starting templates along the lines of Template:Settlements of Crimea or Template:Cities in Chernihiv Oblast? --Ghirla -трёп- 08:41, 24 April 2006 (UTC)
- Where would they go? Main articles have a link to "Administrative divisions of whatever"; adding a template seems somewhat redundant.—Ëzhiki (ërinacëus amurënsis) • (yo?); 14:14, 24 April 2006 (UTC)

- Tsentral'ny Stadium (Pyatigorsk) by Patken4. Should it be moved to Central Stadium (Pyatigorsk)? Conscious 09:05, 22 April 2006 (UTC)
- I moved it to Central Stadium (amazingly, the title was vacant) per "use English" policy. It can be moved further when need arises.—Ëzhiki (ërinacëus amurënsis) • (yo?); 17:17, 22 April 2006 (UTC)

- I created {{geo-Alexander}} to tackle the horrors of the Russian word-formation as applied to Wikipedia navigation. Do you, fine ladies and gentlemen, think it is a good idea or not-so-much? See Alexandrovsk for an example of the template placing.—Ëzhiki (ërinacëus amurënsis) • (yo?); 18:44, 21 April 2006 (UTC)
- I think it's a good idea, for one. Perhaps there are some other names that need something like this as well. Esn 10:25, 24 April 2006 (UTC)
- There are definitely tons of other names that could use a template such as this one. I just didn't want to create a bunch of templates before hearing others' opinions. Others, it looks like, could care less (so at least I know the idea is viable), so I'll most likely make more templates in the future. Thanks for your comment.—Ëzhiki (ërinacëus amurënsis) • (yo?); 14:14, 24 April 2006 (UTC)

- It looks like articles on Russian cities/towns have recently been targeted as a part of a school project or something like that. Articles on Arti, Irbit, Magnitogorsk, Nizhny Tagil, Ozyorsk, Chelyabinsk Oblast, Polevskoy, Shadrinsk, Yugorsk, and Zlatoust (I may have missed some) have recently been edited by new users with similarly-constructed user names and same IP range. The edit pattern is very similar—they all have only very basic knowledge of wiki-markup and style conventions, they all [ignore the "Show preview" button, often making a dozen very minor edits in a row, they upload copyrighted images, ignore messages posted on their talk pages, and, while parts of the information they contribute are quite useful and extensive (which is why I'm listing this as an announcement), their contributions require extensive post-copyediting and dePOVing. I have so far copyedited the articles on Arti, Irbit, and Magnitogorsk and am now working on Nizhny Tagil. Any assistance with copyediting the rest of the affected articles would, however, be much appreciated.—Ëzhiki (ërinacëus amurënsis) 16:56, 3 April 2006 (UTC)
