Article re-assessment
Enid article re-assessment
- I've been doing my best to cleanup Enid, Oklahoma in line with the WP:CITIES guidelines. Could use re-assessment / feedback on needed improvements. Aware that the history section needs further expansion. Any suggestions welcome. Kiddo27 (talk) 21:10, 20 September 2010 (UTC)
Norman article re-assessment
- I am requesting a re-assessment of the Norman, Oklahoma article. I've added substantial content -- whatever the article's rating ends up being could you please add some suggestions on its talk page on how it can be further improved? Thanks. Okguy (talk) 06:57, 19 August 2010 (UTC)
- I will begin reviewing tomorrow and post a reply here and on the talk page and I will post a to do list of things that need to be fixed if any come up.--Steam Iron 07:11, 19 August 2010 (UTC)
- Hi, was just wondering if an assessment was still planned? Not trying to rush anyone just wanted to make sure it wasn't forgotten. Thanks. Okguy (talk) 19:03, 7 November 2010 (UTC)
- No I still plan to do it but I have a back log of assessment on other projects that I'm trying to get done hopeful i will get it done in the next day or two.--SteamIron 19:52, 7 November 2010 (UTC)
Over a year ago I requested a re-assessment of the Norman, OK article. Someone replied here that they would do it, but I don't recall ever seeing anything on that topic here or on the Norman Discussion page. Was that ever done? If it was, can you share the results? If it was not, can it be scheduled? Thanks. Okguy (talk) 21:08, 28 December 2011 (UTC)
- I am requesting because a huge amount of content and references has been added since the last time it was assessed and I am trying to determine where we are at now. Thanks. Okguy (talk) 21:10, 28 December 2011 (UTC)
- I believe I was the one to take a look at it let me take a look again and see.--Dcheagle 23:51, 28 December 2011 (UTC)
- Ok I have taking a look at the article, at this time I wont be upping its class just yet I have listed a number of issues that I have found. The notes can be found on Norman, Ok talk page.--Dcheagle 06:50, 29 December 2011 (UTC)

Reassessments
- If there is anybody still around I could use a reassessment on H. E. Bailey Turnpike and Oklahoma City National Memorial. I think they have out grown their Start class listing.--Crimsonedge34 (talk) 12:05, 26 April 2011 (UTC)
- Im here ill take a look at them later today.--SteamIron 16:16, 26 April 2011 (UTC)
- Ive down the reassessments. This section well be archived in one week.--SteamIron 21:22, 10 May 2011 (UTC)
Oklahoma House of Representatives - I would like to get this up to A-class. Please review, make suggestions, etc. Okheric (talk) 20:31, 18 May 2013 (UTC)It has been GA nominated Okheric (talk) 02:36, 2 October 2013 (UTC)- 1999 Bridge Creek–Moore tornado - A lot of work has been done on the article and I think it's time for a reassessment. Also, I think this topic is of high to top importance rather than mid. The tornado had a very large impact on the state and broke a couple records. It has a high importance in the Severe weather Wikiproject. Michael73072 (talk) 06:51, 10 June 2013 (UTC)
Whats its current assessment. Scratch that its been GA nominated and I cant review it as Ive worked on it in the past.--Dcheagle • talk • contribs 20:11, 10 June 2013 (UTC)
- John Ross (Cherokee chief) should be reassessed. It was apparently nominated in 2008 as a Good Article but rejected. A lot of people have made a lot of changes since then, so maybe it is ready for resubmittal. I was among the more recent people who worked on the article, so the review should be done by some other Wikipedian. Bruin2 (talk) 00:58, 19 July 2013 (UTC)
The Good Article rejection notes are on the talk page and at least one objective hasn't been met, which is to expand the lead. For a large article like this, a larger lead is needed to reflect the article's full content. Okheric (talk) 00:52, 17 August 2013 (UTC)Lead has been expanded Okheric (talk) 02:39, 2 October 2013 (UTC)

- Thank you Bruin2! I have attempted to incorporate your suggestions. Any chance of bumping the article up from its current "Start Class"? Jsniessen (talk) 15:07, 17 May 2016 (UTC)

- Many people have joined me in making improvements with an eye to increasing its substance - especially in the past month - with the article for Cherokee, Oklahoma since 2013, when it was designated "Start Class". I am asking for an experienced editor to perform a re-assessment - to hopefully "C" or "B" Class from the current "Start" class. I have seen many articles of similar or worse quality rated higher. Jsniessen (talk) 17:59, 3 June 2016 (UTC)
- Gmcbjames of WikiProject Cities covered this for me. Jsniessen (talk) 19:31, 6 June 2016 (UTC)
- Would anyone have time to take a look at the recent improvements to the article on Land Run of 1893? I believe it has been improved significantly enough to be bumped up from its current "Start Class" rating. Thanks Jsniessen (talk) 17:59, 3 June 2016 (UTC)
- I should have some time later today to take a look at it.--Dcheagle • talk • contribs 22:42, 6 June 2016 (UTC)
- Thanks my friend. Looking forward to your input. Jsniessen (talk) 15:28, 7 June 2016 (UTC)

- I have tackled improving and adding citations to the article on Oklahoma native R. Orin Cornett. Would someone here be able to perform a reassessment of it from it's current "Start Class" status. Jsniessen (talk) 17:40, 15 July 2016 (UTC)
- I'll take a look at it on sat afternoon.--Dcheagle • talk • contribs 04:57, 16 July 2016 (UTC)
Re-assessment of Constance N. Johnson entry
- I would appreciate an assessment of Constance N. Johnson entry for which I just did a major overhaul. Could it be moved up from Start Class? Elyssafaison (talk) 06:10, 5 March 2017 (UTC)
- @Elyssafaison:I will take a look at it later today after I've had some sleep. If I haven't taken a look at it within a couple of days leave me a message on my talk page to remind me.--Dcheagle • talk • contribs 12:07, 5 March 2017 (UTC)

Article Maintenance Request
- I wonder if someone would take a moment to look at the Kim Holland page (particularly the 2006 election section). I fleshed out the article some and added citations, but I'm not a purely unbiased source for that article, given that I worked for Commissioner Holland, so a second (or third) set of eyes would probably be a good idea. - It is proposed to merge the content of Oklahoma Territory's at-large congressional district into the article Oklahoma Territory. Participants in WikiProject:Oklahoma are encouraged to join in the discussion, which is open until June 28, 2013. Bruin2 (talk) 14:47, 14 June 2013 (UTC)
- Merger completed. Bruin2 (talk) 06:17, 22 December 2013 (UTC)
- Hey OK friends! I have added the article on R. Orin Cornett (a Driftwood native - woohoo!) to the scope of WikiProject Oklahoma. Please feel free to help me improve and locate references to bring this article up to our normally high standards. Jsniessen (talk) 16:33, 14 July 2016 (UTC)
- The Smith Village OK article needs some minor technical fixes. It states the village started as a 20 acre farm. Later it says it is "three-tenths" of a square mile. And in the side bar it says it is 0.04 sq mi. 20 acres is 0.03125 sq mi (that's about three-hundredths of a square mile.) so it seems "three-tenths" needs to change to "three-hundredths" and 0.04 needs to change to 0.03. Picture Requests
- Anybody have/want to take some pictures of Rogers State University or Northeastern State University for their respective articles? -steventity 22:58, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
- National Register of Historic Places listings in Garfield County, Oklahoma - Would any of you be willing to photograph each site on this list? Most of them are in Enid, Oklahoma, and two are in Covington. The Kaufman House and Bank of Hunter no longer exist, however. Kiddo27 (talk) 01:52, 15 August 2010 (UTC)
Help Request
- If anyone here is interested in putting the Clayton Bennett article on a watch list or wants to improve this article, I would appreciate it. The article has suffered repeated vandal and POV edits from Washington-area editors. Chicken Wing (talk) 23:33, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
- Hi y'all. I just created a stub for Robert J. LaFortune. In doing so, I noticed how much work needs to be done on Tulsa mayors. Does anyone have any good sources for this? Kukini háblame aquí 05:38, 14 July 2008 (UTC)
Oklahoma counties
- I'm undertaking these two tasks, but could always use some help:
- 1) Most of the Oklahoma counties do not have a Geographic Location box on them.
- 2) Adding the pyramid svg graphics to Oklahoma counties. I've noticed that these graphics are in use in international Wikipedia articles, but not in the English Wikipedia.

Misspelling in pagename: Tiawah
For whatever reason I lack the skills to correct the spelling in the pagename, currently "Taiwah" (should be "Tiawah"). Help from more experienced editors would be appreciated.
