Greetings old friends and new, this is my first MILHIST submission in many, many years. I was inspired to completely overhaul the article when I noticed what poor shape it was in. Tecumseh deserves better from Wikipedia. I still have a few bits to add, including a map to help orient readers unfamiliar with the geography, but I think we're ready to get the ball rolling here. Your time and attention is much appreciated. Kevin1776 (talk) 10:24, 13 February 2021 (UTC)
- Image review
- File:Tecumseh bust at the Royal Ontario Museum.jpg and File:Tecumseh Shawnee Dollar.JPG what's the copyright status of the underlying bust/coin?
- File:Tecumseh ante Harrison.jpeg and File:Tecumseh saving prisoners.jpg would benefit from a crop. Both are also available at a higher resolution from the source website, although you would have to convert .tiff to .jpg which can be done online.[1]
- File:Tecumseh ante Harrison (cropped).jpeg could be used instead of having to go through the cropping process. Hog Farm Talk 20:51, 16 February 2021 (UTC)
- Swapped, thanks. Kevin1776 (talk) 22:54, 16 February 2021 (UTC)

- File:War of 1812 Detroit Region.png needs a verifiable source for the information displayed on a map (for example, a map from a book that shows the same battles)
- File:Death tecumseh 1813.jpg Wonder where the color comes from since according to Library of Congress the original version is black and white[2] There are better quality renditions of the death, such as[3]
- Aside for the two images flagged above, I'm not seeing any issues with licensing. Aside from the licensing issue none of this is strictly mandatory to meet the A-class criteria, I am just flagging it because improving the image quality improves the article. - Thank you for this, very helpful. Regarding the bust (File:Tecumseh bust at the Royal Ontario Museum.jpg), this is something I have little experience with. The bust was created c. 1896 according to the Royal Ontario Museum, the sculptor died 80+ years ago, and the photo of the bust is under a CC-BY-SA-3.0 license. Is there another step to be taken? - Yes, you need to make sure the image description states why the underlying work is free as I've done here[4] (t · c) buidhe 20:57, 16 February 2021 (UTC)
- Perfect, thank you. Kevin1776 (talk) 22:54, 16 February 2021 (UTC)
- I've removed the Shawnee Dollar image; I can't find any indication that the coin design is not under copyright. I believe all other image issues have been addressed. Thank you! Kevin1776 (talk) 19:26, 18 February 2021 (UTC)
