Description
[edit]A WikiProject to organize, maintain, and improve the visual representation in articles relating to historically black colleges and universities (HBCU). This includes subgenres like their marching bands such as Ocean of Soul and Human Jukebox. Most historically black colleges and universities are missing fair pictures on their wiki pages. Any pictures I put up have been removed so I'm needing help with this process. Broadmoor (talk) 15:48, 11 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
List of important pages and categories for this proposed group
- Category:Historically black universities and colleges in the United States (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs) (over 100 pages in category)
- List of WikiProjects currently on the talk pages of those articles
- Please invite these and any other similar groups to join the discussion about this proposal. See Wikipedia:WikiProject_Council/Directory to find similar WikiProjects.
- Why do you want to start a new group, instead of joining one of these existing groups?
- There is no specfic project for visually enhancing historically black colleges and universities wiki pages from my research. With a WP for historically black colleges and universities, their will be greater consistency and fair representation amongst all universities wiki pages. Currently there's normally a major discrepancy between a HBCU wiki page (i.e. Texas Southern University) and a non-HBCU wiki page (i.e. University of Houston). - Agreed. We don't need an en.WP project to focus on a limited number of non-free HBCU-related images here. Any that are free or "almost free" (suitably licensed) images will eventually be migrated to Commons anyway. — SMcCandlish ☏ ¢ >ʌⱷ҅ᴥⱷʌ< 22:09, 13 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
