Description
[edit]The project will seek to manage all articles relating to the people, settlements and history of the Anglo-Saxon Kingdoms of England, and to related articles of interest, with the aim of improving the structure and standard of articles and to prioritise work on those articles which can achieve the highest standard.Metabaronic (talk) 18:23, 29 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The topic will cover two areas:
- The historical period from 410-1066, covering the formation of the Heptarchy and its evolution into the unified Kingdom of England;
- The period's cultural, historical and political legacy, both in myth, legend and in modern times.
Note
[edit]This proposal is made in place of Mercia, and will include as an early activity a Mercia task force.

[edit]- Sadads (talk) 19:08, 29 April 2010 (UTC) - I will help, mostly in the management stuff, I am not very well immersed in the scholarship. Sounds like fun[reply]

- Metabaronic (talk) 23:34, 30 April 2010 (UTC) - And I'll add myself to make up the minimum number required, allowing the project to progress.[reply]
- 07bargem (talk) 16:53, 7 June 2010 (UTC) - I don't know a lot, but it sounds fun and I live in the old Kingdom of Mercia.[reply]
I suggest posting a note to WT:MA. For myself, I'm not planning to support, since my involvement would be so episodic that I don't think it's helpful to count on me for membership. However, if it does get off the ground I would watchlist the page and no doubt get involved with some of the king articles. Mike Christie (talk) 12:09, 30 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Presumably you mean Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Middle Ages, not Malta. Metabaronic (talk) 23:37, 30 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Yes; I was surprised to find out that WP:MA and WT:MA went to two different places. They don't any more. Mike Christie (talk) 23:55, 30 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
