Welcome to WikiProject Corruption. Several Wikipedians have formed this collaboration resource and group dedicated to improving Wikipedia's coverage of Corruption, Anti-corruption, and the organization of information and articles on this topic. This page and its subpages contain their suggestions and various resources; it is hoped that this project will help to focus the efforts of other Wikipedians interested in the topic. Goals
[edit]The anti corruption domain of articles do not align to a common standard and are generally of low quality. The goal of this project is to standardise articles relating to anti-corruption and corruption with the aim of bringing central articles up to good article quality.
Scope
[edit]The project covers all articles related to corruption and related topics such as:
- Forms of corruption, e.g.
- White-collar crime e.g.
- Such as money laundering, tax evasion, and embezzlement
- Investigations e.g.
- Whistleblowing and whistleblowers
- Data leaks, such as the Panama Papers case or the FinCEN Files
- Investigative journalism, such as International Consortium of Investigative Journalists, Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project
- Individual corruption cases e.g.
- Non-governmental organizations e.g.
- Law enforcement bodies with anti-corruption mission e.g.
- Persons
- Anti-corruption activists
- Financial law enforcement officers
- Indviduals convicted or corruption or implicated in data breaches
- Maintain a neutral point of view.
- Articles should be edited without conflict of interest
- When editing articles on individuals, ensure notability and policies for articles on living people.
Open tasks

[edit]- Project X (Ghana) - A series of editathons was organized between June and August of 2018. The goal of the Wikimedia Foundation funded grant was to improve Wikipedia content related to corruption and anti-corruption, as well as train newbies to become Wikipedia editors on the subject.
- An edit-a-thon or training took place in Vilnius, Lithuania, in June 2024 during the International Anti-Corruption Conference. It was open to registered conference participants. [1]
