[edit]I feel like this Hotel deserves a page. The Convention Center Hotel in Portland Oregon for example, which is also a Hyatt Regency has a page so why can't this? Many hotels have their own page and this hotel is one of the largest in Utah and it definitely deserves a page. What harm is it doing by having its own page? AustinSpotter (talk) 16:57, 23 February 2023 (UTC)
- AustinSpotter Wikipedia has articles, not pages. This is not a database of hotels, this is an encyclopedia with criteria for inclusion, called notability. You have no independent reliable sources to support the content of the article. To merit an article, you must summarize what independent reliable sources with significant coverage have chosen on their own to say about the hotel, showing how it meets the definition of notability. "Largest hotel in Utah" might work, but you must have independent sources to summarize. 331dot (talk) 17:52, 23 February 2023 (UTC)
- Please see other stuff exists. The existence of other articles has no bearing on this. A large convention center often receives coverage as it hosts events. 331dot (talk) 17:54, 23 February 2023 (UTC)
- Sorry for this, but the Portland Hyatt Regency is smaller than the SLC Hyatt Regency and yet both are attached to huge convention centers and the SLC Regency is a part of a larger convention center than the Portland one but somehow the Portland one deserves a page and not the SLC one... The SLC convension center has 515,000 sq ft of convention space and Portland only has around 250,000 sq ft... Just saying your reasoning doesn't make sense when the Portland once exists also. I can find a better source but I feel like the SLC Hyatt Regency deserves a page. AustinSpotter (talk) 19:26, 23 February 2023 (UTC)
- You continue to miss the point, it may qualify for an article but the onus is on you to prove it meets our inclusion criteria of Wikipedia:Notability through proper sourcing. Doubling down and fixating Other stuff exists type arguments, will only lead to more frustration for you. McMatter (talk)/(contrib) 19:40, 23 February 2023 (UTC)
- AustinSpotter (ec) Perhaps the Portland one should be deleted, I don't know, which is why each article or draft is considered on its own merits. As I said, you have no independent sources in the draft. The one source you do have is a press release from Hyatt, which is not an independent source. 331dot (talk) 19:45, 23 February 2023 (UTC)

- There is nothing in your draft User:Rousselmarc/sandbox to suggest that they pass WP:NMUSICIAN, being influenced by notable artists doesn't make them notable too? Theroadislong (talk) 20:08, 23 February 2023 (UTC)

[edit]I do not understand why my article has been rejected. The only way to get a new thing in science widely accepted among the growing population is to put it out there for people to discover. Even if it seems unrealistic, there is nothing untrue about the lockhart as it was invented under the same circumstances as widely used units such as the newton and the volt. Thank you for your time.
FYI it was not I who invented the lockhart so it is not biased at all 2A02:C7E:3AC6:4100:AD06:A3D7:6663:9847 (talk) 20:51, 23 February 2023 (UTC)
- Please see Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not#Wikipedia is not a publisher of original thought. Nthep (talk) 20:55, 23 February 2023 (UTC)
- IP user, Wikipedia does not lead, it follows- only when a subject is out there, discussed by independent reliable sources who choose on their own to discuss it, can a subject then merit a Wikipedia article. You should use social media or a personal website to spread the word about this. 331dot (talk) 21:00, 23 February 2023 (UTC)
- Also, there's at least one grammar error... plus this: "In SI base units, 1 lockhart = 1 m^2s^-3, or 1 meter squared per second cubed". Minus 3 is not "cubed". David10244 (talk) 05:39, 27 February 2023 (UTC)
- I meant to say "raised to the -3 power is not cubed". David10244 (talk) 11:43, 28 February 2023 (UTC)
