Please someone help me to identify the guidelines violation for which the page was declined ? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kalamya (talk • contribs) 14:08, 28 May 2017 (UTC)
- @Kalamya: Hello, Kalamya. Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia. Our apologies for the great delay in response. The problem that I see with your submission is not that you are "violating" any particular guidelines, but that you are failing to establish that the subject meets our notability guidelines for musicians. You've certainly demonstrated that the subject exists and has released some recordings, but that in itself doesn't qualify a musician for an entry on Wikipedia. As for satisfying our notability guidelines, this question was already put to the test when the article was deleted following its nomination at Articles for Deletion. Unless you can demonstrate some major change in circumstances since last summer, I don't see how we can come to a different conclusion now. I hope this response has been helpful. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. NewYorkActuary (talk) 19:41, 31 May 2017 (UTC)

[edit]Hi,
I am in great need of help. Can't really figure out where the exact problem lies. My page Nabeel A. Qadeer is not being accepted. Although Nabeel A. Qadeer is the host and anchor of a popular TV show in Pakistan by the name of 'Idea Croron Ka'. There are links all over youtube which I have added in the references as well. Various magazines and bloggers have featured him as he is the man who laid down the foundation to Pakistan's first business reality show. He is also notable for laying down the foundation of Pakistan's entrepreneurial ecosystem. I have provided all the relevant references to articles, blogs and even youtube links to his TV show. However, I am still getting the same message regarding the notability of Nabeel A. Qadeer. Please let me what is your standard of notability and what references am I missing that makes him notable for Wikipedia? Please help me in this regard. Kindly be specific as to what needs to be added? I shall wait for response on this. Best regards.

- @Smn90: Hello, Smn. Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia. Our apologies for the great delay in response. A short while ago, I declined your submission for its failure to demonstrate that the subject was "notable" in the sense that Wikipedia uses that term. As I noted on the draft, the main claim of significance seems to be the subject's involvement with a television show that does not itself appear to be notable. And I saw nothing else that would indicate notability. Your posting above notes that the subject is also the one who "[laid] down the foundation of Pakistan's entrepreneurial ecosystem". I'm not at all sure what is meant by "entrepreneurial ecosystem". Is it a fancy term for what most people would call the "small business sector"? If so, are you really suggesting that the foundation of this economic sector was laid down by someone born in 1982? Seriously? As for your sourcing, Facebook pages and YouTube videos are not likely to demonstrate notability. Perhaps some of your other sources do so, but you use a citation format that makes this very difficult to determine. Although you are using some of the citation templates, you haven't filled in the sections that call for the essential bibliographic details such as who wrote an article or when/where it was published. Not only does this run afoul of WP:CITE, it also forces readers (including reviewers) to leave Wikipedia and do their own research if they want to learn these details. Before posting here, I filled in two of your references as examples that you might want to use for filling in the very many other references that don't provide that essential detail. I hope this response has been helpful. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. NewYorkActuary (talk) 19:28, 31 May 2017 (UTC)
