00:00:27, 27 November 2016 review of submission by Ryan Pyle

[edit]

Hi. I've created this page for adventure television host Ryan Pyle. He has starred in several travel shows and holds a Guiness World Record. My page for him has not been accepted for publishing and I am wondering if the issue is just his noteworthiness or the links I have provided that demonstrate his noteworthiness. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Ryan Pyle (talk) 00:00, 27 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

User:Ryan Pyle - Are you Ryan Pyle? If not, you need to change your user name because it is that of a real person whom you are not. If you are Ryan Pyle, please read the autobiography guideline. Robert McClenon (talk) 02:18, 27 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hello. This is a follow-up question regarding a previous post I made today. My draft for a page on Ryan Pyle was declined publication and I was wondering if it is because of his noteworthiness or because of the links I provided to indicate his noteworthiness.

I would now like to clarify that I am not the actual Ryan Pyle. My username is such simply because I created this account for the purpose of making a page about him. It was suggested that I change my username because I am not actually him, and I am happy to do that, but the original message I received regarding my denial of publication mentioned nothing about my username and so I worry this will not solve my problem. So, should I change my username and resubmit the page? Or is there another issue at hand, particularly regarding noteworthiness, as the original message I received spoke of? Feeling confused. Perhaps Ryan Pyle is not noteworthy enough for a Wikipedia page? Thanks a bunch! Ryan Pyle (talk) 03:52, 27 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia. If in fact you are not Ryan Pyle, you need to request a change of username at WP:Changing username/Simple. As to your submission, I'll leave some comments about it on the Draft page itself later today. NewYorkActuary (talk) 00:44, 28 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Request on 10:13:37, 27 November 2016 for assistance on AfC submission by ElitRowland

[edit]

Hello, My page has been declined despite me re-writing it numerous times to be neutral. I have been honest and the subject matter is a client of mine. They are notable and I need advice on how to write a more neutral piece.Wikipedia lists other food and drink distributors like Brakes, Bestway, Booker etc and I've used those as guidelines. I've removed all the copy now and left a timeline.

I'm unclear on how the submission reads like an advertisement. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Particularly on how I can develop the page. ElitRowland (talk) 10:13, 27 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Elit. Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia. I see that you've already contacted two of the reviewers who declined your submission. Their advice will be useful to you in addressing the problems that they saw in your draft. My own quick look at the draft shows that you have not yet removed all of the in-article external links (indeed, it looks as if at least one of them was added after you were advised to remove others). Also, your references are all in the form of bare URL's. Formatting these with the {{cite web}} template will help the reviewers assess the reliability of your sources. I hope this response was helpful. NewYorkActuary (talk) 01:20, 28 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I created a page in the Sandbox for incognito Worldwide India Pvt. Ltd. USER Gbawden declined the article saying it did not meet notoriety guidelines. Was that in general, or were there specific statements that need to be verified, or is the referencing not quantified in a way that meets Wiki standards. In the company's short life spam it has been written about by credible magazines that named it 'Startup of the Month', Top 5 Most Promising,' and Top 20 Most Valuable Consulting Companies.' How many magazines and/or news outlets does a person or company need to be considered notable?

This is my first article creation, so any help is most appreciated.

Hello, Raptorsquad. Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia. The best source of information as to why your submission was declined is the reviewer who looked at it. You'll find a button for that person's Talk page at the top of your draft. Later today, I'll also leave some comments on the Draft page itself.
