[edit]10:59:21, 3 April 2015 review of submission by Rtwhite
[edit]
My article was rejected for this reason: 'It's a good article but I think it could mention if she's achieved anything else recently or been active at all recently. I'm not sure the current information supports the fact that she was popular. Is this because she received a lot of chart attention (come and go like several artists) or did she have a more noticeable legacy?'. As far as I can see Friday Brown meets the 'notability' requirements by winning international singing competitions and her television work. I have also clearly indicated the period over which she was active. I think the reviewer may also have been confused by my phrase 'popular music singer-songwriter', but that was the arena in which she worked, popular music. It wasn’t intended to indicate her degree of popularity. Any advice would be much appreciated. Many thanks, Ray.Rtwhite (talk) 10:59, 3 April 2015 (UTC)

12:23:32, 3 April 2015 review of submission by Spacecub
[edit]Hi. Thank you for reviewing my submission on the band called The Receiver. I followed the notability requirements, and presented information in an unbiased manner. I included references to the band, citing reviews from AllMusic.com, Paste Magazine, The Fader, ColumbusUnderground, and finally Kscope. This should fulfill the requirement: Has been the subject of multiple, non-trivial, published works appearing in sources that are reliable, not self-published, and are independent from the musician or ensemble itself. Could you please explain why the page was declined, and what else I could include to gain acceptance? Thank you for your time. Spacecub (talk) 12:23, 3 April 2015 (UTC)
- @Spacecub: User:Oo7565 is the best one to answer your question about the decline. However, I will note that for me the three sentences in ColumbusUnderground would be a case of trivial coverage, and Kscope, being their label, is not independent of them. You may use them as sources, but those two at least wouldn't count towards notability. Worldbruce (talk) 06:23, 8 April 2015 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I have two questions:
- How can I get the other key contributor's email contact information on the "cc" list for your input and recommended changes?
- In the recommendation, you commented about some editing. How can I get more input to inform where these issues are found in the submission?
Thank you. Donna Dmoncuso (talk) 15:30, 3 April 2015 (UTC)
- @Dmoncuso: You can't get their email addresses, but you can send them an email by going to their user page and clicking the "Email this user" link in the toolbar on the left (although some users will disable this feature). However this is normally not done, as most collaboration should be done on the articles' talk pages or on specific editor's user talk pages, not in private email conversations.
- As for your second question, your article was rejected because it contained information copied and pasted from elsewhere (in this case, a report that says: "Copyright © 2014 by Project HOPE . . . no part of Health Affairs may be reproduced . . . without prior written permission from the Publisher"). The issues were found anywhere that text was copied and pasted from another website or document and not written in your own words. --Ahecht (TALK

- @Punith K.B: The article Silage already exists. Please contribute to that instead of starting a new article, and make sure that anything you add is backed up by citations to reliable sources. --Ahecht (TALK
