- All articles on active players and coaches need to be updated with stats, news, and all things important. (Note: For stats it's best to use ArenaFan.)
- Also, we NEED to get things done so we can take them off of the to do list.

The 2009 AFL Dispersal draft has been moved from December 2, to December 3. Then, on December 3, it was announced that the dates for the Dispersal Draft and the beginning of the free-agent signing period had been rescheduled for Tuesday, December 9 and Thursday, December 11, respectively.
- It was announced on December 1, that all 17 AFL teams would be holding offseason player tryouts.
- There are rumors circulating that the AFL could suspend operations for the 2009 season, or fold all together.
- The Orlando Predators have been sold to one of their former owners, Brett Bouchy.
- The 2009 AFL Dispersal Draft, as well as the start of the free agent signing period, have both been postponed "until further notice from the league." The Columbus Destroyers are the holders of the first overall pick in the draft.
The Board of Directors voted NOT to cancel the 2009 Arena Football League season, as of right now.
- On December 15, the AFL Board of Directors voted to cancel the 2009 AFL season.
- ArenaFootball.com counted down the 20 best games in the history of the AFL, as voted by the 20th Season Historical Committee. They are presented as follows:
- 20: Denver 52, Chicago (Brusiers) 44 (June 20, 1987) - In the league’s second game, ever, a thrilling end of regulation leads to the first-ever overtime game. Denver’s Stuart Mitchell hits Durell Taylor with a 39-yard touchdown pass, and Denver’s defense holds Chicago to a stop for the win.
- 19: Chicago 64, Washington 61 (July 16, 1987) - In the AFL’s first season, Washington’s Dwayne Dixon catches an AFL record 20 passes in a loss to Chicago. The stands to this day.
- 18: Albany 61, Nashville 59 (July 9, 1999) - Eddie Brown’s last second 35-yard touchdown reception from Mike Pawlawski wins the game for the Firbirds.
- 17: Iowa Barnstormers 59, Orlando Predators 50 (June 21, 1996) - Barry Wagner records an AFL record 434 all-purpose yards for the Predators in a tough loss to the Barnstormers.
- 16: Tampa Bay Storm 57, Albany Firebirds 53 (June 29, 1991) - Tampa Bay scored 21 points to overcome a 17-point fourth-quarter deficit.

- January 1, 1961 — The Houston Oilers beat the Los Angeles Chargers 24-16 to win the first AFL Championship. Billy Cannon is named the game's Most Valuable Player.
- January 2, 1982 — The San Diego Chargers beat the Miami Dolphins 41-38 in overtime in the highest scoring playoff game in NFL history. The Chargers jumped out to a 24-0 lead before the Dolphins rallied. Rolf Benirschke ended the game with a 29-yard field goal.
- January 3, 1993 — The Buffalo Bills comback from a 32-point third-quarter deficit to beat the Houston Oilers 41-38 in overtime in an AFC Wild Card Playoff game, the largest comeback in NFL history. Bills quarterback Frank Reich threw four touchdown passes and kicker Steve Christie kicked the game-winning 32-yard field goal.
- January 8, 2000 — Down 16-15 with 16 seconds remaining, the Tennessee Titans shocked the Buffalo Bills with a lateral pass on a kickoff return that turns into a 75-yard Kevin Dyson touchdown and a 22-16 wild card victory that became known as "The Music City Miracle."
- January 9, 1977 — The Oakland Raiders beat the Minnesota Vikings 32-14 for their first NFL championship. The game was played before a record Super Bowl crowd plus 81 million television viewers, the largest audience ever to watch a sporting event.
- January 10, 1982 — The Cincinnati Bengals defeated the San Diego Chargers 27-7 in the coldest game in NFL history. The temperature at kickoff of the AFC Championship Game was -9°F, with a wind-chill factor of -59°F.
- January 11, 1987 — Denver Broncos quarterback John Elway leads "The Drive." Losing to the Cleveland Browns 20-13 with 5:32 left in the AFC Championship Game, Elway leads the Broncos 98 yards on 15 plays to force overtime, then moves Denver 60 yards on nine plays on their first possession of overtime to set up Rich Karlis' game-winning 33-yard field goal in the Broncos' 23-20 victory.
- January 12, 1969 — The New York Jets become the first American Football League team to win the Super Bowl, beating the Baltimore Colts 16-7 in Super Bowl III.
- January 14, 1973 — The Miami Dolphins finished their perfect season (17-0), arguably the greatest season in sports history, with a 14-7 win over the Washington Redskins in Super Bowl VII.

- Our goal is to get the number of Stub-Class articles down to 0, in due time. The current article count is listed below, I have placed the forumla that is on the project page that is updated everytime the bot is run and it tallies up our articles and where they are and lists them as seen below, so that no one has to worry about making sure it's updated manually before the newsletter is sent out. It would be greatly appreciated if anyone could help expand and/or source an article or two. A list is provided in the stub-class category of stub articles that need to be improved, and some should be fairly easy.
