By signing this document, you recognize that members of the pod will work as a team to achieve the same goals. All participants will treat each other, students, and other members of the Wikipedia community with respect.
Instructions: please sign below, following these steps -
Create a Wikipedia user account (if you don't already have a user account), by clicking the "Log in/create account" button at the upper-right hand corner of this screen, then clicking on "Don't have an account? Create one" and then following the instructions there. Creating a user account generally takes less than 5 minutes.
Log in to your Wikipedia user account (if you're not already logged in), by clicking the "Log in/create account" button at the upper-right hand corner of this screen and then entering your username and password.
On this MOU-signing page (the one where these instructions are located), you'll notice that there are different sections, each titled "Classes from (some states)." Scroll down to find the section that contains your state - for example, if your class is at University of Southern California, find the section that is titled "Classes from California and Hawaii."
Click the "edit" button located immediately to the right of the section title (for example, the "edit" button right next to the title "Classes from California and Hawaii").
Professors: In the box with a bunch of text, scroll down to find your name (next to "Course instructor:"). Immediately after your name, please type in four tildes (~~~~), so that the line looks something like this: "*Course Instructor: John Smith ~~~~". In Wikipedia world, four tildes will automatically generate a signature containing your username and also the time at which you signed the page.
And then, above your name, please also replace "Insert course title here!" with your course title! Please fill in your college/university name too, below your name.
Regional Ambassadors, Campus Ambassadors, and Online Ambassadors: please type in your name next to your role. And then, type in four tildes (~~~~). So if you're the Regional Ambassador, you'd type in your name and then four tildes next to "Regional Ambassador:"; if you're a Campus Ambassador, you'd type in your name and four tildes next to "Campus Ambassador # :"; etc. In Wikipedia world, four tildes will automatically generate a signature containing your username and also the time at which you signed the page.
