Good articles:
please verify it's been featured at least once, this is not the same as a tribute card.

Needed articles
We need a couple of featured articles related to:

  • famous politicians, particularly non-American (documented permission is required for living people)
  • video games (articles related to generic technologies or game types are probably safe)
  • politics
  • public policy

Additionally, regular contributors to this phase (we know who you are, and you do, too) are entitled to nominate one article of their choice, regardless of its quality. The only requirement is that it is in the main article space.

Nutster's proposals.

[edit]

Good cards:

Articles:

  • Isaac Newton: Categories: Dead People, Natural Science. Quantifier of gravity, inventor of Calculus, predictor of the tides and a whole bunch of other stuff. Quote: If I have seen further it is by standing on ye shoulders of giants. Image: use his picture from the article as the card image.
  • John A. McDonald: First prime minister of Canada. Quote: From Sea to Shining Sea.
  • Googolplex: Image is 1, followed by as many 0's as will fit, followed by ellipsis. Quote: Think big; VERY big.

Edit:

  • Spell check: Remove one vandalism OR upgrade one article to no higher than B-level status.
  • Add Reference: Remove the Citation Needed card from an article OR upgrade one article to no higher than A-level status.

Userboxes:

  • WikiGnome. Removes one vandal token from any article OR upgrade any article, without sacrificing an edit. Can not be used to raise an article at B status or higher.

Bot:

  • Cluebot NG: Removes one vandal token from every article in play by every player at the end of that player's turn. Although ClueBot continues to run, it will only fix each article once, by removing a vandalism. If no vandal tokens are in play at the end of the owning player's turn, ClueBot downgrades the last article editted, undoing a good edit. Don't you just love false positives?

Bad Cards:

Articles (I am not sure how best to word these):

  • Violence promotion.
  • Promoting child abuse.
  • Holocaust Deniers. Quote: There was never an organized effort to wipe out the Jews by the Nazis.

Vandals:

  • WikiKracken: Downgrade the highest non-FA article for any player and then add one vandalism token to it. It will perform this action each round.

Vandalisms:

  • Hi There: Minor vandalism where somebody sticks in the phrase "Hi There" in an inappropriate place in the article. Add vandalism token to the highest ranked article among all players.
  • Bad Data: All the data in the table has been scrambled and none of the numbers make any sense. Image: Table of values in the background superimposed with a big red question mark in the foreground. Add one vandalism token to a B or C-level article of the player.
  • Rumour Mill: All the "facts" that were added are all speculation and rumour. A B- or lower level article goes down one level, effectively reversing an edit.
  • Wishful thinking: Article downgrade. Just because somebody thinks they know everything about a topic, when in fact they know very little that is actually correct. A B- or lower level article goes down one level.

Wikipedia actions/Discord:

  • Speedy Delete: Remove the article with the lowest rating among all players.
  • Speedy Delete: Remove the article with the most vandalism tokens among all players.
  • BLP Speedy Delete: Remove the article about a person with the most vandalism tokens among all players.
  • Citation Needed: Image: { {cn} }. Play on any of your articles. Prevents the article from being upgraded to A or higher status. Quote: Where did that come from?
  • Copyright infringement: Image is the Copyright violation symbol used on Wikipedia. Remove the last article introduced from play and discard. Quote: What? I thought that was in the Public Domain!
