"The 1975" is a song by the band of the same name and the first track on Notes on a Conditional Form (2020), their fourth album. In the song, Greta Thunberg calls for civil disobedience in response to climate change, to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Each of their three previous albums began with a self-titled track that used a different set of lyrics, beginning "Go down / Soft sound", but the lead vocalist Matty Healy thought it was important to give a platform to Thunberg, the "voice of this generation". After the recording in Stockholm, they released the song earlier than intended—on 24 July 2019. Proceeds from the song were donated to the grassroots environmental movement Extinction Rebellion, at Thunberg's request. The band opened encores at their performances with the song, before the COVID-19 pandemic halted their touring. It received positive reception from music critics, many of whom praised the album's transition from the end of "The 1975" into the punk rock song "People". (Full article...)

- Comment, unsure if this is the norm for organizing music TFAs, but should the meaning of the song be the first thing mentioned? Personally, I'd swap it with the "It is the first track on their fourth album Notes on a Conditional Form (2020)" part that comes after. Panini!🥪 11:42, 26 May 2021 (UTC)
- Does this make things better or worse, Panini!? I want to avoid naming the band to prevent "The 1975"/the 1975 confusion, so I need "The 1975" to be the last-mentioned noun phrase when I say "band of the same name". — Bilorv (talk) 00:20, 27 May 2021 (UTC)
- The new revision looks good, and that's normally what's done in those cases.

- Oppose no, just no Great Mercian (talk) 18:32, 6 June 2021 (UTC)
- @Great Mercian: can you give a reason? I don't understand what aspect you're objecting to. — Bilorv (talk) 18:40, 6 June 2021 (UTC)
- @Bilorv: pretty much all of it, call this a personal problem all you want but I just don't wanna see this on the front page. Great Mercian (talk) 16:32, 7 June 2021 (UTC)
- Okay. Do you understand what this forum is for? The article has gone through a feature-quality review process and been designated a featured article. "Today's featured articles" are chosen from the pool of featured articles that have not yet been in the slot, and because we're running out, some re-runs of articles that haven't been featured for several years. I'm not aware of any precedent for opposing based on (non-obscene) subject matter, particularly after this groundbreaking TFAR from 2014 (which I participated in, funnily enough). So I still don't understand what your objection is or whether it has any weight here. Pinging Wehwalt to clarify if any of this is incorrect. — Bilorv (talk) 16:43, 7 June 2021 (UTC)
- @Bilorv: I get that, I totally get that!!! no need to inquisition me about my simple opposement.
