Mischief Makers is a 1997 side-scrolling platform video game, the first for the Nintendo 64, developed by Treasure and published by Enix and Nintendo. The player assumes the role of Marina, a robot who grabs, shakes and throws objects in her journey to rescue her creator from the planet's emperor. The game is presented in 2.5D, with pre-rendered 3D backgrounds behind 2D gameplay. A 12-person team developed the game over two years as Treasure's first title for a Nintendo console. It was first shown at the 1997 Electronic Entertainment Expo and released later that year. The game's reviews were mixed: They praised its inventiveness, personality, and boss fights, but criticized its brevity, low difficulty, low replay value, sound, and harsh introductory learning curve. Retrospective reviewers disagreed with the game's originally poor reception, and several highlighted Marina's signature "Shake, shake!" sound bite. In 2009, GamesRadar called it "possibly the most underrated and widely ignored game on the N64". (Full article...)

- Reasons for nomination: This year is the subject's 25th anniversary, a major milestone. The article ran at TFA over five years ago (2016-07-22) on a non-specific date so it would be nice to re-run it on one of its actual birthdates. Options include
June 27th (Japanese/initial release) andOctober 1st (North American release). In the event that those dates are deemed too close to that of a similar article, perhaps this could run on another non-specific date some time after June 27th? Discussed with TFA coords at Talk:Mischief Makers § TFA re-run.

- Renominating for October; open to non-specific date if the dates continue to conflict czar 21:53, 22 August 2022 (UTC)
- @Czar and Peacemaker67:. Unfortunately there is a massacre 80th anniversary request at TFARP. Unless PM67 can see an alternative date his can run, I'll have to run the game as non-specific. It's also a bit close to Super Mario on 29 Sept, although I'd ignore that if it wasn't for the clash. I can give you any date except those on this page and 3 October. - I would far prefer keeping this date. Using another relevant date for Djujich would not have the same impact. It is also a first-timer. Peacemaker67 (click to talk to me) 23:19, 5 September 2022 (UTC)
- @Jimfbleak, thanks—I'll move this to a nonspecific date slot czar 01:22, 6 September 2022 (UTC)
- @Czar:, thanks, no need to move this request, I'll probably list late in the month to avoid it being close to other reruns Jimfbleak - talk to me? 12:49, 6 September 2022 (UTC)
