Jamie Kalven (born c. 1949) is an American journalist, author, human rights activist, and community organizer based in Chicago, Illinois. He founded the Invisible Institute, a non-profit journalism organization based in Chicago's South Side. Kalven has been referred to as a "guerrilla journalist" by Chicago journalist Studs Terkel. - Reasons for nomination: This year's iteration of Sunshine Week goes from March 10 through March 16, the latter date which happens to be National Freedom of Information Day. So I'd like to propose the TFA for March 16 (first preference), or any day between March 10 – 15 (second preference).
