Habits (Stay High)
[edit]"Habits (Stay High)" is a song performed by Swedish singer Tove Lo (pictured). Initially, the artist self-released the song under the title "Habits" on 15 March 2013, and after signing a record deal with Universal Music, she re-released it on 6 December 2013 under the title of "Habits (Stay High)" as the second single from her extended play Truth Serum and the lead single from her studio album Queen of the Clouds, both from 2014. It is a pop and electropop track which lyrics delve into the singer's attempts to forget her previous boyfriend through substance abuse, drinking and other hedonistic practices. It received positive reviews by critics, winning the Song of the Year award at the Grammis in Sweden. The track became a commercial success, peaking at number three on the US Billboard Hot 100 and reaching the top ten in Austria, Canada, France and Switzerland. A remix by record production duo Hippie Sabotage, titled "Stay High", was released as the third single from Truth Serum and reached the top ten in Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and other countries in Europe. The song has been covered by artists such as Vin Diesel and Kelly Clarkson. (Full article...)

- Reasons for nomination: This is my first Featured article, and subsequently, could be my first one to appear at TFA. It talks about the song "Habits (Stay High)" and its remixed version by Tove Lo, which was originally released on 15 March 2013, and later re-released trough a music label on 6 December of that year (hence the requested appearance date).
- Support as nominator. Paparazzzi (talk) 19:37, 24 October 2017 (UTC)
- Support for TFA, but I see there is a competitor for the date (Halifax Explosion) at WP:TFAP. If a nomination is created for that, I'd say it is a better pick for the date since it is the 100th anniversary. This one could be bumped out to 15 March (5th anniversary of original release) in that case. --RL0919 (talk) 19:08, 27 October 2017 (UTC)
- Coordinator comment On running check links, there is at least one deadlink. Could Paparazzzi clean it up please?--Wehwalt (talk) 20:14, 27 October 2017 (UTC)
- @Wehwalt: The one "deadlink" actually works. Regards, Paparazzzi (talk) 14:39, 28 October 2017 (UTC)
- OK, thanks, swell.--Wehwalt (talk) 18:27, 28 October 2017 (UTC)
- @Wehwalt: @RL0919: I have a question: is December 6 still available, or Halifax Explosion would be selected instead? Thank you, Paparazzzi (talk) 04:13, 1 November 2017 (UTC)
- Sorry, I didn't notice the ping. I'm planning to do Halifax on the 6th and this one on the 7th. If you'd rather pass, I have a backup article I can run instead. Let me know.--Wehwalt (talk) 18:25, 4 November 2017 (UTC)
- @Wehwalt: I agree! So let's have "Habits (Stay High)" on December 7 then. Regards, Paparazzzi (talk) 03:00, 5 November 2017 (UTC)
