Kennedy's motocade
Kennedy's motocade

On November 22, 1963, U.S. President John F. Kennedy was assassinated while riding in a motorcade through Dealey Plaza in Dallas, Texas. Texas Governor John Connally was also wounded. Assassin Lee Harvey Oswald was quickly apprehended but was murdered two days later by Jack Ruby. After a 10-month investigation, the Warren Commission concluded that Oswald had acted alone and that there was no evidence of a conspiracy. Subsequent investigations like the Rockefeller Commission and Church Committee affirmed these findings. In its 1979 report, the House Select Committee on Assassinations concluded that Kennedy was likely “assassinated as a result of a conspiracy”. The assassination remains controversial and has spawned many conspiracy theories; polls have found that a majority of Americans believe there was a conspiracy. (Full article...)

  • Support this article over Frozen II: 60th anniversary is a larger milestone than 4th. Z1720 (talk) 21:17, 18 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support: Same reason as Z1720 pointed out. 60th anniversary is a bigger milestone (a round anniversary, no less) than a fourth anniversary. I'd suggest that Frozen II be posted as TFA for November 22, 2024, since it will be the movie's fifth anniversary (a round anniversary milestone), and it will be posted on a Friday, the same day of the week when Frozen II was first released in theaters.

Comment For the convenience of the scheduling coordinator, I've prepared an alternate blurb here.--Wehwalt (talk) 18:50, 25 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Coordinator comment: I have gone with this article for the 22nd. As the proposed blurb above is too short to meet the TFA requirements - a minimum of 925 characters including spaces - I have gone with the one prepared by a fellow coordinator; thanks Wehwalt. It is here and suggestions for any proposed changes can be made on this page. Gog the Mild (talk) 22:13, 28 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
