Propose merging Template:Infobox lake with Template:Infobox ocean.
propose merging {{infobox lake}} and {{infobox ocean}} to create {{infobox waterbody}}. I just went through all the transclusions of {{infobox ocean}} and, interestingly, many of them were using the parameters for {{infobox lake}}, and none of them are oceans. using a size-neutral name would avoid this issue. given the number of tranclusions and the template ages, it would involve moving {{infobox lake}} to {{infobox waterbody}}, then adding any missing parameters to that template, then redirecting the ocean template to the new waterbody template. no information would be lost. Comment; I generally support on the basis that {{infobox dam}} has revised text encouraging use relating to man-made reservoirs, instead of {{infobox lake}}. My observations are that {{infobox lake}} appears incorrectly and widely used relating to the body of water, where the correct subject matter should be the dam, that provides content for the impounded water. However, not all lakes are near the ocean/sea/bay. For example, Australia has a number of inland lakes that have no primary inflow or outflow (see the following endorheic lakes: Lake George, Lake Eyre, and Lake Corangamite). A redirect may also be worthwhile for {{infobox reservoir}}, and it should by shifted from {{infobox lake}} to {{infobox dam}}. Rangasyd (talk) 09:57, 8 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Arbitrary, clutter, WP:NENAN. There is nothing about being on the roster of a franchise that played its first season in MLB that is more special than the third, eleventh or fifty-seventh season was. Basically a list in template space as this is not a useful navigational aid; in many cases, it simply reflects not-significant intersections of players at a single moment in time.
