- Template:DYK-Backlog (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)
Completely orphaned, unclear of what it is meant to be used for. –Drilnoth (T • C • L) 14:22, 26 May 2011 (UTC)
- Isn't this used when T:TDYK is backlogged? Ten Pound Hammer, his otters and a clue-bat • (Otters want attention) 17:34, 26 May 2011 (UTC)
- I'm not rightly sure. I assumed that if it was actually being used for DYK, it would have been linked to somewhere, whether on a talk page, DYK documentation, etc. If it is being used sporadically, then certainly keep it, I just got the impression that it was leftover from something or other. –Drilnoth (T • C • L) 21:39, 26 May 2011 (UTC)
- The way the text reads, I half suspect that one of the DYK bots might use it as needed. It would be worth checking into that before deleting. Resolute 04:12, 27 May 2011 (UTC)
- That being said, I can't see why this would be used on T:TDYK, as that page will grow and shrink based on the number of nominations. As such, a size above 255kb would not necessarily indicate any backlog, and I can't think of anywhere else that it would be needed. Resolute 04:15, 27 May 2011 (UTC)

This is a completely unnecessary template - it is mostly a list of vehicle parts, many of which do not have articles (either redlinked or not linked at all). Some of the entries don't even relate (or very tenuously link) to the topic of vehicle modification e.g. Competition and Video games. I simply fail to see what value this template adds to Wikipedia or to the tens of articles that it has been added to. Biker Biker (talk) 12:24, 26 May 2011 (UTC)
- Delete, no need for this -->Typ932 T·C 15:14, 26 May 2011 (UTC)
- Delete no rhyme or reason to what should be on here. Ten Pound Hammer, his otters and a clue-bat • (Otters want attention) 17:35, 26 May 2011 (UTC)
- Delete per nom. The template creator Gesalbte (talk · contribs), in response to this proposed deletion, has been rushing round this morning adding the template to seemingly random auto parts and systems articles ("Seat belt"? Seriously? Pfft) in an apparent effort to imbue the template with legitimacy. I am not impressed. —Scheinwerfermann T·C18:51, 26 May 2011 (UTC)
- Delete. I've modified many cars myself and can't think of a single component that can't be modified or upgraded, so it is really just a list of car parts. Perhaps a category like 'car components' would do the job better. Stepho talk 00:28, 27 May 2011 (UTC)
- Delete. Almost entirely useless. Also, why is Template:Religion topics listed in the See Also section? Exceedingly bizarre. ⊂| Mr.choppers |⊃ (talk) 14:56, 4 June 2011 (UTC)
- He based his template on that religion template and must have forgotten to remove the bits that were no longer applicable. I've made similar cut and paste errors myself. Stepho talk 06:52, 5 June 2011 (UTC)
