I want to add a pic - need help

- You can add pictures by first uploading it to the Wikimedia Commons and then referencing the picture in your article using the formating they mention following the upload. Be aware that you can only upload the photo if you have the appropriate rights to it or have permission from the copyright holder. Read the information on the specifics to adding media to your article located on the Wikimedia Commons page.
- However, there are several big problems with this article. First, the subject of the article seems to be a living person and as such will need to pass the standard for Notability. Since there are no verifiable citations, it seems this article will be scrutinized for removal. Also, the article has multiple subjects and should be narrowed to one. Since the name of the article indicates a person, the information dealing with the subject of a police body seem inappropriate.
- Information regarding the Sri Lanka Police should go to its own article. It seems that there is an existing article already Sri Lanka Police so any new information can be added there. You should look to that article for some examples of citations. Kjmonkey (talk) 14:11, 6 January 2011 (UTC)

- Do you have sources for the information you wrote about your subject? If so, citing your sources using inline references would be a plus. A Works, Credits, or Filmography type section would be nice. Look at the Wikipedia article for another screenwriter to get some ideas. Check your text formatting. Wikipedia:Manual of Style says, "Use italics for the titles of works of literature and art, such as books, pamphlets, films (including short films), television series, music albums, and paintings. The titles of articles, chapters, songs, television episodes, and other short works are not italicized; they are enclosed in double quotation marks." - No, it's spam, offers no indication of notability, is a fairly obvious copyright violation, and is unsourced. It violates WP:NOTE, WP:WEB, WP:V, WP:COPY, WP:SPAM and WP:NOT. I've deleted it. Acroterion (talk) 16:13, 6 January 2011 (UTC)

- Although it looks like you have sources for your article, they would be better employed as inline citations. See, Wikipedia:Citing sources. The Works section should be modified slightly to conform with Wikipedia:Manual of Style (lists of works). Tkotc (talk) 18:40, 7 January 2011 (UTC)

It also highlights the firm's relationship to notable events such as the World Trade Center collapse investigation, and notable people such as W. Gene Corley, the expert who led that investigation.

I requested feedback on this article back in November. It is my first contribution. Should you find a grammatical error which has escaped my notice, I would be grateful if you would point it out.
Also, as this notable person is still living and individuals (likely his present/former students) have been amusing themselves by "editing" the article, I would like to have the article finalized as soon as possible to put an end to these "edits."

- I'm sorry that you didn't get any feedback when you submitted this in November. It looks like a good article. I've made some minor changes. You might want to consider using fewer citations. In a few places, you've cited a single sentence with up to 25 unique sources. That seems like overkill to me. One or two sources is usually fine unless a fact is contested.
- Vandalism is a constant problem on Wikipedia, which many volunteers spend time fighting. Wikipedia articles are never "finalized" in the sense of being uneditable. Articles can always be changed. In the case of repeated vandalism, it is possible to protect articles for a time or indefinitely, but this step is generally only taken in severe cases, and this article probably doesn't qualify.

I would like to know whether the sources are notable enough. I have included the Profit 100 listing as well as Branham300 which also feature well known organizations. The guideline for a company article is that it must be listed on ranking indices of important companies produced by well-known and independent publications which is correct for this company. Please respond as I need feedback before publishing.

- This article looks very well written. I don't have any additional information for you about this person, but you may want to clean up your references. It looks like you used plain links for everything, which is alright, but you may want to consider using citation templates (cite book,cite web). This is especially helpful for books. I am a new user, wanting to do everything by the book. I have written an article, Biography of Psychic David Marius Guardino, and need feedback on content and formatting. I have a list of 90 source documents at the bottom of the page. Pretty dull. I also am having trouble uploading a photo. Is it okay to load a personal photo attribute it to "Guardino family collection"?
At what point is the article released to the public? Does this take days? Weeks? Have I done everything I need to do?

- A good place to start when creating your first article is the Wikipedia manual of style. Specifically, Wikipedia discourages the use of external links within an article. You should instead format these as references.
- Uploading images can be a little more complicated. You must be the copyright owner or the photo must be licensed under an acceptable free license. For more information on this, see Wikipedia:Uploading_images.
