Before adding a request please:

Consensus appears to be to list individuals alphabetically by their first name, band names beginning with "A", "An", or "The" should be placed alphabetically by the second word in their name, and names beginning with a digit should be placed in the 0−9 section.

Reliable, independent, 3rd party sources must be provided at the end of the article request, and the proposed article title itself must be linked. Any request that does not follow these guidelines will be removed.

Before you save the page, please make sure to preview the page by clicking the box labeled "Show preview" next to the "Submit changes" box to ensure that the article is a red link, otherwise, disambiguate it usually with (band) or (group) or if these already exist, then you can usually disambiguate it further by origin (American band) or by genre (rock band), etc.

Also, when adding a request, please include as much information as possible (such as webpages, articles, or other reference material) so editors can find and distinguish your request from an already-created article.

  • Tony Memmel (Americana / Singer/Songwriter / Folk - Tony Memmel is a songwriter and performer with unique charisma and creativity. Though he was born missing his left forearm, he taught himself to play the guitar by constructing a self-made cast out of Gorilla Tape that secures a guitar pick to his arm. Flawlessly, he picks and strums his guitar, and sings his songs with his subtle, yet powerful voice. Even in a busy room, people will pause to listen and take a photo of the man on stage. With powerful, personal lyrics and well-crafted melodies, his music stands alone. Memmel often says, “I don’t want to be a good guitarist with one hand, I want to be a great guitarist and songwriter, period.” Applying this attitude to his craft earned him the 2013 WAMI Award for Singer-Songwriter of the year, where he joined the ranks of fellow WAMI winners: Bon Iver, Les Paul, Cory Chisel, and the BoDeans. The press has also taken notice as he’s earned write-ups in the Associated Press, CNN, Boston Globe, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, and Chicago Tribune.) (https://www.reverbnation.com/tonymemmel )

  • Triplets Ghetto Kids (https://tripletsghettokids.com/) (https://www.facebook.com/pg/TripletsGhettoKids/about/?ref=page_internal) Triplets Ghetto Kids (TGK) is a group of young entertainers from Kampala Uganda, East Africa. Founded by Dauda Kavuma, a former street kid himself,Triplets Ghetto Kids comprises orphaned and/or vulnerable children, 3 girls and 6 boys, ranging in age from 6 to 16 years, primarily hailing from the streets of Kampala after running away from their impoverished homes in search of food. Although these kids and many like them are given certain labels, for example, street kids, orphaned or vulnerable, disadvantaged, runaway kids etc, at Triplets Foundation, we acknowledge the fact that they individually have a unique story, which when one takes the time to listen to, may make one appreciate how these kids' experiences can help shed more light on the many things we do not know about .the disadvantaged children across the world. At their young and impressionable age, the kids have resorted to using music dance and drama as a way of staying away from the violence and poverty that they experienced on the streets. Surprisingly, this has developed into a movement which is yielding profound social consequences to many of our followers as evidenced by the many positive messages we get from all over the world. With the assistance and guidance of their guardian, who also choreographs the kids, Kavuma Dauda, TGK raise money from their live performances and when they are hired to dance to music of various artists in music videos. This is further supplemented by donations from a few individual well wishers. All the money is used to assist in providing them with a safe place to live, food, clothing, medical expenses, and to pay for their education. All the nine (9)Triplets Ghetto Kids members live with Kavuma Dauda together with ten(10) other vulnerable children who he and his wife take care of. Because Kavuma did something radically different from most people, the world is now able to learn a little more about the millions of ignored children across the globe. 200. ^ "Miles Arntzen". Antibalas. Archived from the original on 2015-08-09. Retrieved 2016-02-25. ...drummer/composer, grew up within a musical family in Greenwich Village, New York City. With the help of his early drum teacher, Dave Anania (Blue Man Group), Miles learned to play the drums by listening to his favorite songs and playing along with them verbatim. His drumming, which can be described as a mixture of Tony Allen and Ringo Starr, is heavily influenced by his father (trumpeter Leif Arntzen) and his mentors Stuart Bogie and Billy Martin, along with Greg Errico, Max Roach, Prince, Chris Vatalaro, Jon Theodore, John Bonham and Joey Kramer. At New York University he has studied with Ari Hoenig, Tony Moreno, Wayne Krantz and Lenny Pickett.

From the Big Apple to the sandy shores of North Miami Beach, Brooklyn's EMEFE — the brainchild of Miles Arntzen, who toured with Arcade Fire's Will Butler as Arcade Fire's drummer during his 2015 spring tour — will be making its 305 debut during this year's TransAtlantic fest.
  202. ^ Redfern, Mark (Feb 23, 2016). "2015 Artist Survey: Will Butler of Arcade Fire". Under The Radar. Retrieved 2016-02-25. What was the highlight of 2015, for either you personally or for the band? What was the low point? Highlight: Putting together my touring band. Miles Arntzen as standing drummer, Julie Shore as keyboard bassist, Sara Dobbs on mellotron, and everyone on vocals. Lowlight: You know what? I love Austin, but SXSW kind of sucks.
  203. ^ VALENTINO, SILAS (2015-08-31). "EMEFE EMBRACE THE RHYTHMS OF NEW YORK'S EVERYDAY STATIC". The Village Voice. Retrieved 2016-02-23. Miles Arntzen founded the eight-piece ensemble (pronounced Em-eff-ay) as a freshman at NYU and spent the past six years evolving the band's blend of Fela Kuti–inspired Afrobeat with dashes of Prince- and David Byrne–channeling pop orchestration. The band spent two years writing EMEFE and recorded the tracks at percussionist Javier Ramos's family home in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey. After the bulk of the songs had been composed, Arntzen stumbled across the book And There Was Light by Jacques Lusseyran, a member of the French Resistance during World War II. The author's account of having his remaining senses drastically heightened after he became blind appealed to Arntzen, as did Lusseyran's comments on self-exploration: You either confront yourself and progress or fail to develop and become lost.
