Why do some parents like having girls instead of boys as well? 81.104.74.28 (talk) 22:22, 16 July 2020 (UTC)
- Because no matter how you feel about having boys or girls or how strongly you feel about it, at least half the human race disagrees with you. 97.82.165.112 (talk) 23:08, 16 July 2020 (UTC)
- Your question is essentially meaningless. Any parent worthy of the name will not only like, but love, all their children regardless of sex.
- Now, sometimes, having had two girls in a row, they might prefer the next one is a boy. Or vice-versa. But it's not a deal breaker, and whatever comes out is fine.
- My late mother was the youngest of 5 girls, no boys. After the third girl, my grandparents were so certain the fourth child was going to be a boy that they chose the name Colin in advance. When Colin turned out to be another girl, they just stuck an e on the end, hence Aunty Coline. Then came Mum, by which time they'd given up caring. Then they gave up having babies altogether. (I refrained from saying they gave up having sex, (a) because I don't know whether that's true, but mainly (b) because the thought of my grandparents engaged in connubial congress makes me sick to my stomach.) -- Jack of Oz [pleasantries] 23:30, 16 July 2020 (UTC)
- The OP geolocates to Belfast, Northern Ireland which, given the history of powerful Celtic women, makes this an even stranger question. HiLo48 (talk) 00:00, 17 July 2020 (UTC)
- The IP address had been blocked for a year, as a block evader, which expired this past March. Hard to know if it's the same actual user behind the IP. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 02:20, 17 July 2020 (UTC)

Is it because that girls are less immature than boys while women are more mature than men? 81.104.74.28 (talk) 05:49, 17 July 2020 (UTC)
- This is probably Wikipedia:Long-term abuse/109.151.65.218. Ponyo has also dealt with them in the past - though I don't think either of us has bumped into them for quite some time. MarnetteD|Talk 08:41, 17 July 2020 (UTC)
- Indeed it is. Sent to cold storage for an extended break. Favonian (talk) 09:09, 17 July 2020 (UTC)
