September 2

[edit]

Whoever read it, did you like it? Is it as witty as the Netflix show? Is it highly recommend on alot of people's reading list? I was thinking of reading it myself. 50.68.252.153 (talk) 00:24, 2 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

This isn't a discussion forum, but we can find appropriate references for reviews, etc. Goodreads is generally a reliable source for unbiased reviews; they give it a 3.71 (out of 5: 160,434 Ratings 13,540 Reviews)[1]. 2606:A000:1126:4CA:0:98F2:CFF6:1782 (talk) 01:13, 2 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

What kind of piercing is getting a ring beside the eyebrow but not exactly at the eyebrow?

[edit]

I want to get a piercing like that. 50.68.252.153 (talk) 02:56, 2 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Self-harm. HiLo48 (talk) 03:17, 2 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I doubt you need a formal name for it when you go to your local piercing store - just tell them exactly what you want done. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots04:50, 2 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Googling "types of piercings" yields a lot of results, including this.[2] Eyebrow piercing is mentioned. Much of it is too cringe-worthy for myself (and probably HiLo48 as well) to want to read in detail. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots04:55, 2 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Don't look up the Prince Albert piercing. Sagittarian Milky Way (talk) 03:10, 6 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
That's one most everyone looks down on. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots07:07, 6 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Who is the country that has the smallest (in % of the country area, not area) average island size?

[edit]

Who is the country that has the smallest (in % of the country area, not area) average island size?

EXTRA RULES: Each non-adjacent area that is not an island count as 1, so USA have at least mainland usa, alaska hawaii (and more). Liechtenstein has a value of 100% since the country is a single landlocked area. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 177.177.211.51 (talk) 04:11, 2 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Well ... any country without any islands would have zero percent average island size as a percent of country area. 2606:A000:1126:4CA:0:98F2:CFF6:1782 (talk) 04:22, 2 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Perhaps the OP could give us an example, to make their question clearer. HiLo48 (talk) 04:28, 2 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Liechtenstein might qualify. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots04:47, 2 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
The largest body of water in the State of Vatican City is Fontana dell'Aquilone ("Eagle fountain") -- which has two tiny bits that could be considered islands. The average island size is perhaps less than 1 m2; the State of Vatican City is 0.44 km2. 107.15.157.44 (talk) 05:08, 2 September 2018 (UTC) ... (photo on Trip Advisor)[reply]
Liechtenstein's entire western border is the Rhine and it has several canals and streams and ponds, and from a quick glance at Google Maps it looks like there are a few islands. Adam Bishop (talk) 10:42, 3 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
How much of the Rhine belongs to Liechtenstein, and which country do the islands belong to? ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots13:34, 3 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Not that it's any indication of accuracy, but walking down the river with Google Maps shows the boundary exactly in the middle of the carefully channeled Rhine -- which to me doesn't seem to have any islands per se, but rather, seasonal sand bars. The official Swiss topo gives the same impression (kinda fun to explore: [3].) --jpgordon𝄢𝄆 𝄐𝄇 14:41, 3 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
(ec) "Lake" Sägaweier has a couple of islands, so the island fraction for Liechtenstein is not zero. What you see in the Rhine are bars, not islands. --Wrongfilter (talk) 14:51, 3 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Why doesn't my user-page exist?

[edit]

Simple, just why doesn't it exist? AdamFra (talk) 13:42, 2 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@AdamFra: Because you haven't saved any edits to it. Go to User:AdamFra, put some stuff there, then click "publish changes." Ian.thomson (talk) 13:43, 2 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

But I just created my account. AdamFra (talk) 14:54, 2 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@AdamFra: Your user page is a distinct part of the account. It is not automatically generated, you need to make it yourself. Ian.thomson (talk) 14:09, 2 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
It's optional for registered users to make a user page, also for editors. PrimeHunter (talk) 15:20, 2 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Your user talk page also does not exist - for the same reason. When someone sends you a message (not just a ping) it will exist - you will then see some kind of notification, provided you are logged in - it used to be an orange message bar across the screen stating

You have new message

Another way to tell is that when they exist they will be linked in your signature in blue - thus AdamFra (talk) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.133.58.87 (talk) 15:48, 2 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I'll create one for you now. --Dweller (talk) Become old fashioned! 22:46, 2 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
