[edit]Can you pass a psychometric exam if you fail the numerical reasoning part? Do you need to achieve a minimum score for each component of the exam?
[edit]Let's say the exam is composed of verbal reasoning, numerical ability, and abstract reasoning (each part has 50 items). Let's also say you scored low on numerical ability but achieved a fairly high score on the other two. Would you pass the exam?88jaymm (talk) 07:39, 10 November 2015 (UTC)
- This would likely depend on the specific exam's scoring system. Nil Einne (talk) 12:00, 10 November 2015 (UTC)
- For NFL players, absolutely (all you need to be able to do is count to 11, and frankly, some of them fail even that). This was so ably demonstrated by Kam Chancellor's ridiculous holdout at the beginning of the season. He ended up losing something like a million dollars for missing two games and the team can fine him $1.1 million if it so chooses. All this in an ill-advised attempt to get a raise. (What, me bitter?) Clarityfiend (talk) 01:25, 11 November 2015 (UTC)
Can breast size disqualify recruits?
[edit]Can a potential soldier (such as for the U.S.A.) ever be disqualified if her breasts are excessively thick? --Romanophile (talk) 22:18, 10 November 2015 (UTC)
- Secondary effects, such as back problems, might make a potential recruit medically ineligible. StuRat (talk) 23:18, 10 November 2015 (UTC)
- Here is one website that discusses physical requirements for the Army.[1] There's nothing there about bust size, only about min and max heights and weights and body mass index - and minimum number of pushups and such stuff as that. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 00:24, 11 November 2015 (UTC)
- Since breasts are mostly fat, large breasts might push them over the BMI limit, depending on how much fat is on the remainder of their body. StuRat (talk) 00:27, 11 November 2015 (UTC)
- A related Q might be if they allow people to join with breast implants. I don't imagine the same group of people join the military as get those, but I wonder if there's a policy on it. Presumably those with implants need to be more careful to avoid a rupture. Maybe not a problem for a desk job, but seems problematic for combat infantry. StuRat (talk) 00:30, 11 November 2015 (UTC)
- Not much useful on joining the military by breast size. However, joining with implants seems OK. Although this gives one reason why you would be rejected and in the UK it seems that since 1994 the military has been providing free implants. - Your link for your UK statement is to the Daily Fail, which almost certainly means it's not true. Fgf10 (talk) 13:11, 11 November 2015 (UTC)
