[edit]Transgender game show contestants
[edit]Are there any transgender people who have competed on game shows? I'm particularly looking for Jeopardy! contestants, but any other game show is fine. (I'm not looking for people who transitioned after their appearance(s); only people who were already transgender when they appeared) wizzito | say hello! 20:39, 27 October 2022 (UTC)
- Amy Schneider was very successful on Jeopardy; she's mentioned as the first trans person to make the Tournament of Champions, which implies there were other trans contestants who did not make it that far. AnnaKGS (talk) 22:00, 27 October 2022 (UTC)
- This article mentions Kate Freeman as a transgender contestant on Jeopardy and one of the last contestants to appear before Alex Trebek's death. --Jayron32 12:43, 28 October 2022 (UTC)
- Amor Romeiro in the Spanish Big Brother. [1]
- According to Survivor_(American_TV_series), contestent Zeke Smith was transgender at the time he played the game. RudolfRed (talk) 22:01, 29 October 2022 (UTC)
- Surely the answer is "There might have been." Just as with most other human beings and their sexuality, trans people don't wear labels around their necks saying "I am transgender!" I know two young adults who are transgender, but who made the switch many years ago, and no longer live anywhere near where they were when they made the switch. They don't publicly advertise their status. Most people don't know their status. Those who do never talk about it. HiLo48 (talk) 22:13, 29 October 2022 (UTC)
