DiCaprio doing all roles in a single movie?

[edit]

My friend is desperate to learn in which movie does Leonardo DiCaprio play every role, but he doesn't know about the Reference Desk. He also mentioned a scene in a bar where the waitor meets a series of people. Please help :) 88.207.75.177 (talk) 00:07, 25 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I am unaware of any movie that Leonardo DiCaprio plays every role. However, he is slated to play in the upcoming film The Crowded Room which is a biopic of Billy Milligan who had 24 personalities.[1] Could that be to what your friend is referring? As to the reference of a waiter meeting a series of people: is this in a separate movie? or with DiCaprio? Maineartists (talk) 00:30, 25 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Perhaps your friend has had this film in mind. Omidinist (talk) 04:15, 25 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
The only film I know off with an actor doing that was Kind Hearts and Coronets, with Alec Guinness playing eight members of the same family. Wymspen (talk) 15:56, 25 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Good call Omidinist Maineartists (talk) 16:22, 25 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I vaguely remember that Dustin Hoffman was going to be in a remake of KH&C a decade or so ago but that fell through. Peter Sellers played three characters in The Mouse That Roared (film) and Dr. Strangelove and six in Soft Beds, Hard Battles. I may be one of the few people left alive who saw the latter in a movie theater :-) I think Omidinist's choice is closest to what the OP's friend is thinking of. WP:WHAAOE. List of actors who have played multiple roles in the same film includes: "Leonardo DiCaprio as King Louis XIV and Philippe in The Man in the Iron Mask (1998)." But that's only two of many roles, and it's the boring case of playing identical twins. PrimeHunter (talk) 18:47, 25 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Missing from the list is Rolf Leslie who played 27 roles in Sixty Years a Queen. I believe this is a record. --TrogWoolley (talk) 21:35, 25 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
... unless you count the 165 Oompa-Loompas interpreted by Deep Roy in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory ... ---Sluzzelin talk 22:05, 25 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Tanya Roberts

[edit]

In A View to a Kill, is it just me, or is Tanya Roberts actually stoned on set in some of the scenes? The way she talks, and the way she has her eyes rolled back, I just can't help but wonder. 2601:646:8E01:7E0B:F88D:DE34:7772:8E5B (talk) 06:48, 25 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

You need to look for a James Bond forum somewhere. Unless there were news reports about Tanya at the time or some time later, there's no way to know. As to whether it's "just you" that's stoned, we have no way to know that either. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots07:17, 25 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I was NOT stoned, that's for certain! 2601:646:8E01:7E0B:F88D:DE34:7772:8E5B (talk) 08:05, 25 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Any cases?

[edit]

An actor played a very evil character. Like a serial killer or rapist. Then someone who watched the show, saw the actor in real life, and tried to harm the actor for what the evil character did. --Curious Cat On Her Last Life (talk) 06:52, 25 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I googled the subject, and here is a sort-of example:[2]Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots07:18, 25 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I can't think of an example where the actor was harmed or someone attempted to harm them. And I don't have the time right now to research but it's an often mentioned thing in interviews with actors who play villain roles. Lena Headey has mentioned a few times that people have told her that they dislike her because of her role in Game of Thrones. And similar reactions have been had by Tom Felton for his role in the Harry Potter movies. †dismas†|(talk) 15:20, 25 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Decades ago, Jonathan Harris said in an interview (probably in TV Guide) that when he was walking down the street and fans would hiss at him, he would hiss right back! All in good fun, presumably. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots22:10, 25 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I've heard of people calling police when they saw an actor who was in a reenactment on some "true crime" TV show; don't recall if any such actor was attacked. —Tamfang (talk) 04:15, 26 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
TVtropes has Actor/Role Confusion, which is a meta-something or other. Clarityfiend (talk) 21:21, 26 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

A French Comedy TV Series of 1990s

[edit]

Hi, I'm looking for a french comedy TV series from 1990s. I do not know the name. I saw the movie when I was eight or so, I love the series... The things that I recall from this TV series (and might be kind of hints for anyone who wants to identify the series) are: It's about a female private detective, It happens in a coastal city probably in northern France and one of the episodes took place in a beautiful rural chateau. These are the only things that I can vividly recall. I really appreciate any helps/guesses for my question! 142.151.171.147 (talk) 08:29, 25 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

You may want to look through this list on the French Wikipedia and see if anything corresponds: fr:Liste des séries policières françaises. --Xuxl (talk) 14:56, 25 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, thank you, the link was so helpful, I found it: fr:Imogène (série télévisée) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 142.151.171.147 (talk) 00:23, 26 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

woman commissioner suggestion

[edit]

Which episode of The Dukes of Hazzard had a "LULU HOGG FOR COUNTY COMMISSIONER" banner at the end?2604:2000:7113:9D00:B81E:C008:E611:FADF (talk) 11:50, 25 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I have, but there was no mention about Lulu Hogg for County Commissioner.2604:2000:7113:9D00:B81E:C008:E611:FADF (talk) 19:41, 25 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
