[edit]Ewing Oil building
[edit]Which building in Dallas served as the exterior for the office of Ewing Oil on TV series Dallas? 83.251.77.222 (talk) 05:21, 1 September 2015 (UTC)
- Season one had 2001 Bryan Street. Two to ten had 1201 Elm Street. Then 1445 Ross Avenue to finish it out. All in Dallas. Unless you mean "JR Enterprises". InedibleHulk (talk) 07:08, 1 September 2015 (UTC)
- By the way, this is mentioned in the article for Bryan Tower. Dismas|(talk) 05:10, 2 September 2015 (UTC)
- And those other two are better known as the Renaissance Tower and the Fountain Place. InedibleHulk (talk) 00:44, 4 September 2015 (UTC)
Star Wars
[edit]Was the Imperial March inspired by the "Song of the Golden Calf" from Gounod's Faust? 2601:646:8E01:9089:F88D:DE34:7772:8E5B (talk) 10:02, 1 September 2015 (UTC)
- There are a few unreliable discussion forums that independently reach the conclusion that there are similarities between the "Imperial March" and the third movement of Frederic Chopin's Piano Sonata No. 2, aka the "Funeral March". See [1] and [2]. This source claims inspiration from Gustav Holst's The Planets, specifically "Mars: Bringer of War". Just some possible leads. None of these is a really reliable source, but it's some ideas some random people had. --Jayron32 14:42, 1 September 2015 (UTC)
