[edit]clavichord
[edit]who invented the clavichord? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.84.121.96 (talk) 04:50, 19 January 2013 (UTC)
- It's not known. Clavichord says the instrument has been known since the 14th century (that's the period 1301-1400). My Grove's Dictionary says its origins are obscure, but the earliest detailed description is from 1425. -- Jack of Oz [Talk] 05:03, 19 January 2013 (UTC)
Moby Dick 1956 movie
[edit]Wasn't Gordon Jackson in the 1956 Moby Dick movie ? That sure looked like him with the scottish cap - I visited your Moby Dick 1956 movie web page & he wasn't mentioned - I also visited your Gordon Jackson web page & the only Moby Dick reference was "Moby Dick-Rehersal (TV)" - What part did he play in the movie ? - he was so good as the butler in the original upstairs, Downstairs — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.49.7.189 (talk) 23:01, 19 January 2013 (UTC)
- He's not listed in the IMDb page for the movie either. -- Finlay McWalterჷTalk 23:03, 19 January 2013 (UTC)
- Be ye thinking of Harry Andrews? His article has a photo of him in the film wearing a tam o'shanter. Here he is in a larger scene.[1] Clarityfiend (talk) 23:38, 19 January 2013 (UTC)
