[edit]Is there a photo or some other info like bio about the guy who does voiceovers for the CGR's videos on youtube? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.35.33.194 (talk) 02:11, 27 January 2012 (UTC)
- Not on Wikipedia/Wikimedia. Just Google "Mark L. Bussler". Von Restorff (talk) 14:32, 28 January 2012 (UTC)

Is there someone I can contact to get the sheet music I am interested in?--98.209.232.185 (talk) 03:02, 27 January 2012 (UTC)
- There are some songs available freely online at [1] and [2] (and supposedly at [3], although the ones I looked at seemed almost illegible). Warofdreams talk 22:27, 27 January 2012 (UTC)
Tintin merchandise
[edit]I read in the article about The Adventures of Tintin that NBC Universal acquired the merchandising rights in North America. But I can't find anything related to The Adventures of Tintin on the NBC Universal Store website. Will there be any merchandise coming out?24.90.204.234 (talk) 03:52, 27 January 2012 (UTC)
International Kabaddi federation
[edit]How many nations are members of this organization? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.54.64.76 (talk) 03:54, 27 January 2012 (UTC)
- It would seem that the members list is not yet complete. You might want to try ask the man listed on the contact page. CambridgeBayWeather (talk) 04:38, 27 January 2012 (UTC)
- Couple more people here that you could try. CambridgeBayWeather (talk) 04:40, 27 January 2012 (UTC)
European games?
[edit]Why Europe is the only continent that doesn't have a regional games for itself like Pan-Asian, All-Africa, Pan-American games? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.54.64.76 (talk) 04:04, 27 January 2012 (UTC)
- It appears that it does. For example, there's the European Athletics Championships. --McDoobAU93 04:10, 27 January 2012 (UTC)
- What about Australia? HiLo48 (talk) 04:14, 27 January 2012 (UTC)
- I don't know? What about it then?. CambridgeBayWeather (talk) 04:46, 27 January 2012 (UTC)
- It's a continent. What are its regional games? HiLo48 (talk) 11:20, 27 January 2012 (UTC)
- Then there is the Games of the Small States of Europe. CambridgeBayWeather (talk) 04:46, 27 January 2012 (UTC)

- It may be because the first Olympic Games were, more or less, a European affair, with only the US and Chile from outside the region (and one lonely Australian who was part of the British contingent). Alansplodge (talk) 10:49, 27 January 2012 (UTC)
- Flack's article says he competed for Australia, although there was no such country as Australia as such in 1896. I'd always read he competed for a combined team from Australia and New Zealand, called Australasia, but that is not what out article says either. -- Jack of Oz [your turn] 10:38, 30 January 2012 (UTC)

- Just to clarify - we are talking about multi-sports events, as Europe clearly has continental ("regional") single-sports championships. The other contributory factor - additional to the one suggested by User:Alansplodge - is that (almost?) all the single-sports organisations started in Europe, and to some extent were in competition with each other, rather than seeking co-operation and co-ordination. In other continents, (I think that) multi-sports tournaments developed after the development of global multi-sports tournaments, i.e. the Olympics. Ghmyrtle (talk) 11:12, 27 January 2012 (UTC)
- Such a thing seems to have existed in the past - apparently Athens held the 13th (or 14th, sources vary) Paneuropean Games in 1982. However, I only find it referenced because of the commemorative coin that was produced. Also no mention of any other events, ever, apart from one mention on some webforum about Valencia hoping to organise something similar for 2010. - Cucumber Mike (talk) 11:37, 27 January 2012 (UTC)
- There was a proposal last year to launch such a competition ([4]), although it doesn't appear to have resulted in anything. There are various contests involving parts of Europe - in addition to the aforementioned Games of the Small States of Europe, there's the Balkan Games, Black Sea Games and Mediterranean Games (Albania and Serbia somehow managing to compete in all three!) Meanwhile, the UK focuses on the Commonwealth Games, France has the Jeux de la Francophonie, and Portugal has the Lusophony Games. Warofdreams talk 13:34, 27 January 2012 (UTC)
- European Olympic Committees links to a slightly more recent story regarding what Warofdreams linked to above [5]. Also there is a European Youth Olympic Festival. (Multi-sport event may also be of interest.) Note that's there's no such thing as the Pan Asian games. It's simply the Asian Games. Also there's nothing stopping Australia having their own games if they want. Other countries do it. Australia also has the Australian Youth Olympic Festival. Of course it will be considered a national multisport event rather then a regional one. According to Asian Games, there was a proposal for Australia to participate in the Asian Games but it was rejected as unfair to the other Oceania NOCs. There is of course the Pacific Games and our article says there's a proposal to include all members of the Pacific Islands Forum but I'm not sure how that will work. Australia will probably win most events (with New Zealand taking a few) even though most atheletes won't bother to participate since they'll see little point given the general standard of competition. (There are similar and worse problems when it comes to football in the region.) Nil Einne (talk) 17:23, 27 January 2012 (UTC)
- Not least because Australians will never agree on what football is. HiLo48 (talk) 20:56, 27 January 2012 (UTC)

Yesterday I saw this film. In Wikipedia, it is included within Category:Supernatural thriller films. In IMDB, the word "ghost" in included in the plot keywords for this film. But I couldn't understand the ghost/supernatural aspect of this film. Where is the ghost in this movie? If anyone saw this film, please provide an input. Thanks. --SupernovaExplosion (talk) 08:14, 27 January 2012 (UTC)
- I can't really tell based on the plot description in our article, but bear in mind that many parts of IMDB can be added by users and there is no verification that the additions are correct. --LarryMac | Talk 17:14, 27 January 2012 (UTC)
- I think there's some sort of implication that the apartment is haunted, and that explains the horrors suffered by its various tenants. But it's not clearly stated in the film: many of Polanski's films, like Repulsion, are about the boundaries between madness and the genuinely supernatural (even Rosemary's Baby resembles a psychological study of the mental disintegration of a new mother as much as it does an obvious tale of satanism) and Polanski likes to disturb and confuse the audience. This is the obvious problem of assigning keywords and categories to a film - good films are often multilayered, ambiguous, or promote debate, and different people will have different interpretations. --Colapeninsula (talk) 18:33, 27 January 2012 (UTC)
Is this music available?
[edit]The opening of Series 4 Episode 8 of Spooks ("The Russian") begins with footage of an old communist spy being released from a British prison, accompanied by a rousing version of The Internationale in English. Is this song available separately (I assume it is a cut of a full piece)? Only I've never been able to find an English version of the song that I like, and this one struck me. I thank you all in advance. Prokhorovka (talk) 17:15, 27 January 2012 (UTC)
- Try searching on YouTube for 'internationale English'. The Mark of the Beast (talk) 20:13, 27 January 2012 (UTC)
I've never found the version used in the show I'm afraid, but thank you anyway. Prokhorovka (talk) 21:57, 27 January 2012 (UTC)
- For US, French, and some Canadian viewers, the series is called MI-5. StuRat (talk) 23:41, 27 January 2012 (UTC)
Drama Mockumentary about space disaster
[edit]A long time ago I saw a movie filmed in the style of a news broadcast set in the future about a moon landing where the astronauts are on the moon and find something strange and then are never heard from again. It starred two well known actors as the anchors but I can't remember their names. This is driving me crazy. Any ideas? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.105.139.27 (talk) 22:58, 27 January 2012 (UTC)
- This isn't a perfect match, but it's not Alternative 3 by any chance is it? A search on IMDb found nothing tagged "fake news report" or "news satire" that seemed similar. Smurrayinchester 23:31, 27 January 2012 (UTC)
- The film version of starship troopers was a science fiction movie that featured satirical news clips. Not a moon landing, but is that it? Meelar (talk) 07:20, 28 January 2012 (UTC)
- I was going to suggest Apollo 18 (film), but that was only released last year. Adam Bishop (talk) 09:06, 28 January 2012 (UTC)
