What happened
[edit]- 12:30 — Pre-meetup, Terence Ong met SpLoT at Parkway Parade
- Lunch at Yoshinoya, followed by a dessert elsewhere
- Met Hildanknight at 1330 at Marine Parade Town Centre, proceeded to McDonald's
- SpLoT left, went to VivoCity by bus.
- 15:20 — Meetup starts, 20 minutes late though. Many were late, some didn't turn up. Wikipedians who were there decided to chat first.
- Proceeded to Pacific Coffee Company at VivoCity Level 2
- Discussion of several topics
- 19:30 — Met Cottonball and his wife
- 21:00 — Due to several reasons, we had a dinner at nearly 21:00
- After dinner, Cottonball and his wife left. Mailer Diablo also left too. The rest went to Orchard Road to see the Christmas lights.
- Tdxiang and ZhongHan left, the remaining three continued.
- 00:00 — Meetup officially ends, all dispersed and went back home.
Post meetup
[edit]How did you guys think of this very disorganised meetup? Sorry for the inconvenience, but we should be more organised and plan things well in future, so there won't be any problems or miscommunication in future. We shall see how the next time. --Terence Ong (C | R) 17:41, 24 November 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for the update of the page.
- Yes, perhaps we should have explicitly set the venue to be Pacific Coffee Company, the meeting place HarbourFront MRT Station, the meeting time 3.00 pm yesterday, a week before the meeting. Is it so difficult to decide on the details of the meetup? Not really. However, indecisiveness and the desire for democratic selection of the venue, meeting places, etc wound up preventing us from making a decision.
- In fact, we were so utterly disorganised that the fact that a meeting eventually took place could be counted as a miracle. —Goh wz 06:49, 25 November 2006 (UTC)
In future
[edit]When will we meet again, we shall see... Whoever wants to create this current red link, please do so. I think we need to have the next meetup on the weekend so we will have more people turning up. Agree? --Terence Ong (C | R) 17:41, 24 November 2006 (UTC)
