Goals

[edit]

Our goal for this event is to celebrate how Beacon, NY, along with many parts of the Hudson Valley, has historically been ecologically and conservation-minded, and is currently the forefront of state and national legislation. We want to document what we have achieved so far, raise the visibility of community groups and municipal activities, and continue to build community around conversation adding Wikipedia content.

Wikipedia articles to edit & create

[edit]

Note: We have compiled a list of articles to get started. For the newbies: Don't be intimidated! A great place to start is to search through an article that interests you and look for spelling or grammar errors. Find one word out of place. Editing one sentence to make it flow better. Those are all great contributions. It is ok to start small.
