- Template:Non-free album cover is not appropriate here - the cover of the album in question is already here. It seems that the uploader intended this cropped version to illustrate the article about the band instead, in violation of WP:NFCC. High on a tree 05:14, 25 October 2007 (UTC)
- This image includes a member Feris Bueller who has not been with the band since 1998 and he no longer makes appearances with the band nor does he participate within any of their concerts. Consequently, this is not in violatation with (WP:NFCC#1).--Harout72 10:19, 26 October 2007 (UTC)
- So you are saying that the image is needed to show what Ferris Bueller looks like (there are certainly enough other images in the article to show what Rick J. Jordan and H.P. Baxxter look like; in fact there are free images of them on Commons). But Ferris Bueller is a living person (and has been active as a solo artist according to the article), and to quote Template:Non-free promotional, which you would need to replace the current fair use template (album) with:
- Please note that our policy usually considers fair use images of living people that merely show what they look like to be replaceable by free-licensed images and unsuitable for the project.

- Dear "High on a tree", I simply don't understand why you keep getting yourself involved within issues that simply don't concern you. If you're trying to receive a Nobel Prize from Wikipedia by pretending to be an administrator believe me you are wasting your time. Also, would you please stop saying "our policy". It is not your policy and you're not part of the wikipedia administration team, so please let this be decided by someone who has made alike decision before. Furthermore, whether Ferris Bueller is an alive/solo artist or he still makes public appearances once in a blue moon with his remote solo career that does not mean that this very image that you are getting personal about (which I know is not the real reason why you keep trying to portray it as a subject of wikipedia-policy violation) could not stand as a non-free rationale . Best regards. --Harout72 23:46, 26 October 2007 (UTC)
- Just out of curiosity, when did he pretend to be an administrator? -- RG2 05:39, 27 October 2007 (UTC)
- Delete, album covers may only be used in conjunction with a discussion of the album, not to show what the people on them look like. —Angr 08:54, 27 October 2007 (UTC)

We are still going through the appeal process for the entry Atlanta Boy Band to be allowed and re-posted, as we feel we have met all the criteria that is set out for entry with "notability" under music - all citations/evidence requested has been posted and published on the Internet as discussed, we are also willing to produce anything other evidence needed. - I've gone ahead and deleted this image. Given the frequent misunderstanding in regard to local/state government vs. federal government copyright in the U.S., the need for us to be able to verify this image's release is pretty important. -- RG2 12:20, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
- OR UE CV. Two images here. First is a probable joke used in a speedy deleted article. Second was uploaded with the same name by a different user but the attribution wasn't changed! Second is also likely a copyvio similar to others from same user. —Wknight94 (talk) 11:46, 25 October 2007 (UTC)

I uploaded this image, but without the source's permission. I am in talks with the Israeli Government Archive about them freeing the license on this and a few other images. I therefore prefer it to be removed until I have their OK. Its not in use anywhere. Telaviv1 12:12, 25 October 2007 (UTC)

- Contrary to the stated fair use rationale, this image is only intended and used to illustrate the articles about the person and his musical project (and fails WP:NFCC#1 because he is still alive and active). The article about the album already has another illustration. High on a tree 13:04, 25 October 2007 (UTC)

- This non-free image is used in Starlight Express to illustrate the appearance of the show's stage in Bochum, Germany. But the article doesn't discuss the appearance of the stage at all, so this image violates WP:NFCC#8 by not significantly increasing readers' understanding of the article. —Angr 15:28, 25 October 2007 (UTC)

- Keep. Uploaded by me in May 2007, this image is significant in that serves as an identifier/logo for Greenwald's column at Salon.com. It's purpose is at least (if not more) important as having book covers, cd/record pics, or business logos, all of which we keep under our non-free content guidelines/policies. In addition, I asked for and received a free-photo of Glenn Greenwald which is used in the article, so eliminating this fair use image does not promote or encourage the building of a "free" encyclopedia.
