reintroduced deleted page

[edit]

Hi, I just noticed that a page that you tag for deletion has appeared again FADVOCAT- can you confirm this and we can tag it and them for reintroducing deleted pages. thanks Olly150 11:08, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thats fine - I noticed the page on New Pages, and I even edited it slightly, but then I noticed the warnings and got suspicious. Thanks Olly150 11:54, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for nominating the above (strangly titled) article for deletion. I almost did myself, but almost couldn't justify it (despite the obvious need for deletion or at least a major overhaul). Keep up the good work! Booglamay (talk) 13:36, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Restoring article on 'Trent'

[edit]

Hi - looks like we both had this vandalized article open at the same time and restored it to its correct version. I've put it on my watch list. Acrabb (talk) 14:38, 17 April 2008 (UTC) Andy[reply]

Hangon

[edit]

Hi there. A while back I wrote an article about Comanity. It was tagged for speedy deletion. I am just learning how to use Wikipedia, so I apologize for the delay in my reply to that. This group is trying to make a difference for worthy nonprofits (such as George Wythe College). If you have time to look at this I urge you to do so so you understand what we are about (http://www.comanity.com/about_us.php). I feel the deletion of the article was unfair and ask that you reconsider. Sincerely, ibbarkingmad --Ibbarkingmad (talk) 10:28, 28 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Any reason for the message blaming my IP for a non-existant edit done on an article ive never looked at?Dezza91 (talk) 12:52, 22 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Oxford Wikimania 2010 and Wikimedia UK v2.0 Notice

[edit]

Hi,

As a regularly contributing UK Wikipedian, we were wondering if you wanted to contribute to the Oxford bid to host the 2010 Wikimania conference. Please see here for details of how to get involved, we need all the help we can get if we are to put in a compelling bid.

We are also in the process of forming a new UK Wikimedia chapter to replace the soon to be folded old one. If you are interested in helping shape our plans, showing your support or becoming a future member or board member, please head over to the Wikimedia UK v2.0 page and let us know. We plan on holding an election in the next month to find the initial board, who will oversee the process of founding the company and accepting membership applications. They will then call an AGM to formally elect a new board who after obtaining charitable status will start the fund raising, promotion and active support for the UK Wikimedian community for which the chapter is being founded.

You may also wish to attend the next London meet-up at which both of these issues will be discussed. If you can't attend this meetup, you may want to watch Wikipedia:Meetup, for updates on future meets.

We look forward to hearing from you soon, and we send our apologies for this automated intrusion onto your talk page!

AfD nomination of Alice in Wonderland (2010 film)

[edit]

I have nominated Alice in Wonderland (2010 film), an article you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Alice in Wonderland (2010 film). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. -- Collectonian (talk · contribs) 15:35, 24 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image (File:LongHairedHare.jpg)

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading File:LongHairedHare.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. FileBot (talk) 23:48, 24 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Matticus78! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. Please note that all biographies of living persons must be sourced. If you were to add reliable, secondary sources to this article, it would greatly help us with the current 457 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Jim Donnelly - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Thanks!--DASHBot (talk) 19:44, 2 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Minus (comic) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Webcomic which fails WP:GNG and WP:WEB.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Claritas § 06:37, 14 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
