@Ira schick: Hi there! It appears that all of these pages have been deleted. GoingBatty (talk) 02:46, 12 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Ira schick: See the notes on your talk page about why the pages were deleted. RudolfRed (talk) 02:49, 12 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Per WP:OWN It's not your page, but you are free to make changes as are others, note that the involved articles have been deleted. -- StarryNightSky11 03:35, 12 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, Ira schick. Every one of your edits since 2015 has been self-promotional. Wikipedia is not a platform for self-promotion and that content will not be restored. Cullen328 (talk) 20:55, 12 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

About Publishing article

[edit]

Hello,

i want to publish an article about a famous guitarist. I uploaded everything and gave references but 3 time it decline in few minutes. How i publish it? please help. Naveedh815 (talk) 08:17, 12 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The draft article is Draft:David Paul (guitarist) and it has already been declined four times, which isn't surprising. It is written in a promotional style, and the opening sentence David paul is an American guitarist who famous as The MAESTRO OF THE GUITAR”. would be enough to turn it down. There is also the possibility of conflict of interest, because articles like this are usually written by someone affiliated to the subject.--♦IanMacM♦ (talk to me) 08:39, 12 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your reply. Naveedh815 (talk) 08:41, 12 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, Naveed. I see that you have described yourself as a social media expert. I am afraid that your social media skills may not be helpful in editing Wikipedia, since Wikipedia is very different from social media. Please have a look at what Wikipedia is not.
Like many new editors, you have plunged almost immediately into one of the most challenging tasks, which is creating a new article. I always advise new editors to spend a few months learning how Wikipedia works, by making small improvements to some of our six million existing articles.
When you want to come back to creating articles, please start by reading notability and your first article. ColinFine (talk) 10:56, 12 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright (non-) issue aside, the longer I look at this draft, the worse it seems. A short and perhaps humdrum sentence within it is David Paul career started coming out into the scene in 2003. "David Paul's career" would be standard English; "David Paul career" is not. What "scene" is this? Whatever scene it happens to be, your English and mine may be different; but in mine, careers don't "come out into" scenes (or indeed into anything else). -- Hoary (talk) 00:43, 13 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Hoary: Ah, I followed the reviewer before me who identified it as CV, checked it via the onboard tool which confirmed same but doesn't necessarily provide any attribution info. It is an appalling draft though written probably by someone whose first language is not English. Slightly confused as to where it could be taken from on Wikipedia, by the site concerned? Pinging Theroadislong for information. (This disc. may be better-placed at the draft talk). Eagleash (talk) 01:05, 13 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Why is Chet Atkins mentioned so many times? And sometimes spelled wrong. David10244 (talk) 11:03, 15 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Becoming Colette

[edit]

Hello,

I recently created the film article Becoming Colette on the English language Wikipedia and I'm trying to add it to the "Other languages" list. How do I do that? The Film Creator (talk) 12:00, 12 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

 Done
I've added it to the Wikidata item d:Q4329873 (which I found by searching for the title in Wikidata). ColinFine (talk) 12:14, 12 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Ref: My High School's Page Has Been Deleted

[edit]

My high school, John Kennedy College, found on the Island of Mauritius had a page on Wikipedia. I recently googled it to check the page and did not find it. It seems to have been deleted by one of your administrators that clearly does not have any proper knowledge of the history and emotions that have been invested into this college. It was built by the British Empire as a tribute to the late American President John F Kennedy and inaugurated by the then commander general of Mauritius, Sir John Shaw Rennie. A lot of notable figures in Mauritius have been to this college, here it Mauritius it is not seen only just as being an educational body but also as a way of life by being a Kennedian Eagle. Please do the right thing and put the page back on the wikipedia site. Thank you. 102.114.100.37 (talk) 16:55, 12 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The discussion which led to the deletion was here. It was concluded that the school did not meet Wikipedia's (special) criteria for notability, which are not about what the school is or has done, still less about who went there (see notability is not inherited) but almost entirely about what has been written about it by people who have no connection with it whatever.
If you can find several sources of information each of which meets all three of the criteria of reliable publication, independence from the school, and containing significant coverage of the school then it is possible a new article could be created about it. ColinFine (talk) 17:02, 12 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The article was deleted as it didn't meet the criteria (Per WP:GNG & WP:NSCHOOL), and it lacked Reliable sources, once it meets the necessary requirements it'll be undeleted after a relevant discussion. -- StarryNightSky11 21:38, 12 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
