[edit]I Know That WOXX Is Operated Separately From WOTX, But I'm Unable To Find Any Online Sources Of Information To Use To Back Up The Truth To These Facts.

- You might have better luck over at the Reference desk (this "desk" is for help with Wikipedia itself) - Once you find the right category, I'm sure you'll find some friendly and helpful folks with answers. - Or... try one of the 'External links' on the WOTX or WOXX pages (?). ~E : 74.60.29.141 (talk) 05:31, 22 December 2012 (UTC)
WOXX is "operated" by: WHITE MOUNTAINS BROADCASTING LLC,[1] — WOXT is "owned" by: Radio New England Broadcasting, LLC, a "Related Nonbroadcast Facilities"[2] (whatever that means) ~ Anyway...that's just my 1st look - good luck 74.60.29.141 (talk) 05:46, 22 December 2012 (UTC)
- Our standards for notability of musicians are found at this location; and it sounds like you're not there yet. Until you become better known, there's not much you can do about it. At this point, you are not as notable as that character. (I kinda know how you feel: "Mike Lowrey" is the name of Will Smith's character in the movie Bad Boys.) --Orange Mike | Talk 02:35, 22 December 2012 (UTC)
What template?
[edit]What template should I add to a page that really needs updating? The two pages I'm thinking about have an infobox with basic info about the product and then a brief overview in a paragraph. I don't know what is the proper template to use though. --Shadow (talk) 04:14, 22 December 2012 (UTC)
{{Out of date}}

[edit]To Wikipedia help desk: Please find out from book Pasar Malam Selamat Datang in Holland,(I will send you it if you do not believe me) the original media reports and evenaments of that time are genuine.The false name nomination from this history in your Wikipedia Encyclopedia is really NOT true. I do not make money for the prize it is sold at Amazon, I just want the Dutch-Indonesian postcolonial History be written the truth. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 184.66.122.141 (talk) 05:20, 22 December 2012 (UTC)
- I added a topic to your question to seperate it from the one above. Your question is unclear. If this is in reference to an article, which one? RudolfRed (talk) 06:10, 22 December 2012 (UTC)

They specialize in knowledge questions and will try to answer just about any question in the universe (except how to use Wikipedia, since that is what this Help Desk is for). Just follow the link, select the relevant section, and ask away. I hope this helps. RudolfRed (talk) 06:37, 22 December 2012 (UTC)
Julia Lescova
[edit]Hello! Can i please ask to fix something on article about Julia Lescova? Can you please remove "Personal life" section? She has not been romantically connected with those 2 people, she has never met Paul Avion and that information is false. Would you please remove just the "personal life" section from the article? Greatly appreciated in advance!!! Warmest regards! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.84.190.234 (talk) 08:15, 22 December 2012 (UTC)
- This would be better addressed to the talk page of the article. Britmax (talk) 08:50, 22 December 2012 (UTC)
Mausoleum at Halicarnassus
[edit]I want to clean up the referencing on Mausoleum at Halicarnassus; in partcular the multiple references to the same work by James Fergusson (something which I do not have to hand). The problem though is some of the references cite specific pages, while others do not. How should I best cleanup the references? I thought maybe the {{rp}} template, but the presentation when rendered on the page is confusing in my opinion. Astronaut (talk) 12:16, 22 December 2012 (UTC)
- You could try using Shortened footnotes for the references to this work. -- John of Reading (talk) 15:58, 22 December 2012 (UTC)
Creating new flag templates
[edit]How do I create a flag template? The specific one I want to create is the flag of the Kingdom of Sicily of 1282. I have searched everywhere but I don't understand the explanations given. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.228.229.246 (talk) 16:20, 22 December 2012 (UTC)
- We already have
{{flagicon|Two Sicilies|sicily}}
which produces . Is that what you want? PrimeHunter (talk) 16:59, 22 December 2012 (UTC)
How Do You Remove The Word User On This Company Title | How Do You Update The Name Title

Someone Please Help!

- Wikipedia is an online encyclopedia. It is not a webhosting service providing free advertising. Our articles are written in an encyclopedic manner, about notable subjects, and based on published secondary sources. Your 'article' is none of these things - and there is no possibility whatsoever that your business will meet the requirements of the relevant notability guideline: Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies). It will not therefore be moved from your user page to article mainspace. Furthermore, it is impermissible according to our username policy to use a company name as a username: see Wikipedia:Username policy. I suggest that if you wish to advertise "a family owned auto repair shop in Plainfield, IL", you find somewhere appropriate to do so - it isn't going to happen here. PLEASE HELP
[edit]Hey kinda messed up on my username just created my account instead of JayLife can I change it to Jay Life please help me that's all I need. Please — Preceding unsigned comment added by JayLife (talk • contribs) 21:08, 22 December 2012 (UTC)
- Hi Jay Life. Since this is your first edit to Wikipedia under this username, simply log out, then create a new account under Jay Life (which name is not taken), and discard this account. There is a way to move the old name to a new name (Wikipedia:Changing username), but there's no need since you have no edits that need attribution to a changed name. This is what is suggested at the page I linked for "[u]sers who have made very few edits".--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 21:36, 22 December 2012 (UTC)
Is this sentence right?
[edit]I speak English but I have issues with the third person, I added this sentence to the Ted Bundy article: "On the eve of his execution, Bundy talked with his mother and confessed the crimes to her to which she replied that "[He] would always be a precious son to me".
Is it right? gramatically and the spelling? Thank you. Keeeith (talk) 21:33, 22 December 2012 (UTC)
- Hi Keeith. It is an awkward construction. Sorry. There are other problems. You have altered the quotation which you cannot do--she does not say "would"; this could be fixed by simply taking the first part of the quote outside the quotation marks--but you have also stated something that is not in the source. Specifically, I see nothing in the source to indicate that he confessed his crimes to her, or that her quoted utterance was a reply to that confession. So, while I was initially going to propose a change to the language, I am instead going to revert your addition in light of the issues I've identified. This does not mean you cannot go back and put something there about the telephone conversation, but you must not read into the source things it does not expressly indicate.
One more thing. The citation you used is very bare, being just a URL and an access date, and so it does not provide very good ease of verification. I would suggest, if you do go back, that you use this as the citation format:
<ref>{{cite journal|journal=People magazine|url=http://www.people.com/people/archive/article/0,,20119504,00.html|title=A Condemned Man's Last Bequest|date=February 6, 1989|volume=1|issue=5|last1=Axthel|first1=Pete|last2=Ryan|first2=Michael|accessdate=December 22, 2012}}</ref>

The entry for Patricia Gucci has been resubmitted with several additional external sources, previous cited as lacking in order for the entry to published. A birth certificate is available if necessary but hopefully you now have sufficient evidence to verify the Subject's identity. Please confirm you are now able to publish this entry. — Preceding unsigned comment added by FireflyDigitalMkg (talk • contribs) 23:18, 22 December 2012 (UTC)
- I have linked the title above to your "article for creation" (it is in the wrong place, and has "Gucci" misspelt, so it's not easy to find). It seems to me that it lacks evidence that she is notable – but I'll leave that to others to judge. Maproom (talk) 00:12, 23 December 2012 (UTC)
- Now that I have looked at the proposed article again, I think it most unlikely that it will be accepted. Its subject is not notable. She is the wealthy granddaughter of a notable person – that does not qualify her as notable. Maproom (talk) 12:31, 23 December 2012 (UTC)
