Wikipedia:Featured and good topic candidates/Good log/January 2012
- Contributor(s): igordebraga ≠ 18:45, 5 December 2011 (UTC), Schrodinger's cat is alive, Dr. Blofeld, Betty Logan
A long-time goal of the WP:BOND project. It started out at full speed, with 12 GAs in 2007 (one being promoted to FA, Casino Royale) and 7 in 2008. Then for a while the editing didn't progress - Dr. No and Goldfinger even got demoted... but then this year me and SchroCat (with help from User:Betty Logan and User:Dr. Blofeld) decided to not only return the Good status of those two but to fill the remaining gaps of the topic, including the non-EON films (one of which is not here for being a TV episode) and the lead article (and eventually, a PR for when the 23rd EON film was finally confirmed). Now it's a complete set, just waiting for its inclusion on the Good Topics. (which will demand a celebration with shaken, not stirred martinis!) --igordebraga ≠ 18:45, 5 December 2011 (UTC)
- (1) I've added italics to the titles. (2) I don't think you need the sub-headings (Eon and non-Eon) since subheading don't seem to be used in FT/GT boxes. Chronological order would do for them, I think; distinctions about who produced what can be left to the articles/the list. (3) I'm not a great fan of the image: a photo of a waxwork of
another waxworkone of Britain's finest actors, but he was only one of the Bonds. Perhaps a more generic image such as File:Dr No trailer.jpg? (4) The book report shows one dead link on Casino Royale (2006). (5) Perhaps most importantly, can you explain why James Bond in film isn't included? It looks to be a natural part of the topic. BencherliteTalk 19:03, 5 December 2011 (UTC)- Well, that was here because it's a free image of one of the Bond actors as 007 himself. But replaced with the gunbarrel. After splitting List of James Bond films (list of movies) from James Bond in film (overview of the series), both could serve as the lead, and we chose the former as the latter is still undergoing a revamp. Maybe the series article can be put here as an additional nom later. igordebraga ≠ 20:46, 5 December 2011 (UTC)
- Comment - According to 3a of the Featured topic criteria, there must be a completed peer review if an article can't be a Featured or Good article. Skyfall is still on peer review so it must be closed. GamerPro64 02:21, 7 December 2011 (UTC)
- Closed it. igordebraga ≠ 15:35, 7 December 2011 (UTC)

I believe this topic meets the requirements as it is a complete listing of the episodes of a single television series' first season, which limits it to a well-defined and intuitive scope. The articles follow a relatively tight formation and bear close structural resemblance to each other, reading as clearly related articles meant to be viewed in a series, although each stands alone and presents its information without expecting the reader to understand the topic as a whole. --GRAPPLE X 21:48, 21 November 2011 (UTC)

This topic meets the good topic criteria, well, because all the articles in the topic are good articles. This hurricane season featured two storms that killed more than 100 people each, and is somewhat unique in that aspect. I'd appreciate you support. Thanks! --HurricaneFan25 22:26, 16 November 2011 (UTC)
- Support. I thought I supported this a while ago! This is good to go IMO. There aren't any other storms that could get articles, and I think it's a really neat topic to have around for so long ago. --♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 21:40, 5 December 2011 (UTC)
- Support Whoa, this is from a long time ago! Anyways, its a good topic and as Hink said above, a unique GTC because it was so long ago. Great work! -- TropicalAnalystwx13 (talk) 03:20, 8 December 2011 (UTC)
