Pope Leo XIII

Original - Pope Leo XIII (March 2 1810—July 20 1903), born Count Vincenzo Gioacchino Raffaele Luigi Pecci, was the 256th Pope of the Roman Catholic Church, reigning from 1878 to 1903, succeeding Pope Pius IX. Reigning until the age of 93, he was the oldest pope, and had the third longest pontificate, behind John Paul II. He is known as the "Pope of the Working Man" and "The Social Pope".

• Weak oppose. I agree, this is a poor picture to start with, no matter the quality of our reproduction (which could be a little better). Not sure if this is reason enough to oppose. Who's the painting by? Anyone historically significant? Last point- are you certain popes 'reign'? That doesn't sound right to me... J Milburn (talk) 21:32, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
