- Support I enjoy how the wings are in perfect focus. Indefatigable2 (talk) 16:34, 3 July 2013 (UTC)
- Support I had no idea you can find such a beautiful insect near Changi Airport. Good one. ☯ Bonkers The Clown \(^_^)/ Nonsensical Babble ☯ 13:51, 4 July 2013 (UTC)
- The place where I shot it has a considerable amount of butterflies, too bad they are gonna clear/have cleared that place to build new runways for CA. I haven't been there for a while, and email me if you want me to disclose the location to you. ✉→Arctic Kangaroo←✎ 14:08, 4 July 2013 (UTC)
- And I'm surprised that you labelled the butterfly as "beautiful". I thought only butterfly photographers will be able to appreciate this kind of butterflies. ✉→Arctic Kangaroo←✎ 14:11, 4 July 2013 (UTC)
- Well, I like to "embrace nature". Pity I don't see much wildlife. ☯ Bonkers The Clown \(^_^)/ Nonsensical Babble ☯ 14:29, 4 July 2013 (UTC)
- Support I've never understood the "blend into the environment" thing. I get that they can't be seen by predators... but can't they be stepped on? – Kerαunoςcopia◁galaxies 17:07, 4 July 2013 (UTC)
- Don't worry, Autumn Leaves are very skittish and have a very large circle of fear. I was only lucky with this guy because he was cooperative enough to sit and smile for the camera. It's very rare for this species of butterfly to cooperate. ✉→Arctic Kangaroo←✎ 14:37, 5 July 2013 (UTC)
- Support as earlier. JKadavoor Jee 17:47, 5 July 2013 (UTC)
- Comment: The image may be temporarily unavailable later, as I have nominated it for deletion on Commons as I want to localise it. But don't worry, I will upload it again ASAP after it is deleted. ✉→Arctic Kangaroo←✎ 13:40, 12 July 2013 (UTC)
- You can always upload a local copy at Wikipedia and mark it with {{Keep local}}. There's really no reason to delete the Commons file, which would rather be a shame imo. De728631 (talk) 13:56, 12 July 2013 (UTC)
- Sorry, I'm maintaining my stand here as the creator of the work. But yes, after it has been deleted (or I will protest), I would be uploading the local copy here on en.wiki and placing that {{Keep local}} on it. ✉→Arctic Kangaroo←✎ 13:59, 12 July 2013 (UTC)
- Please see also my response at commons:Commons:Deletion requests/File:Doleschallia bisaltide bisaltide (Autumn Leaf) - male, January 2013, Singapore.jpg. And I fear deletion over there won't be as quick as you desire. Speedy deletion by request of the uploader is limited to a period of seven days after the initial upload, so now this will to undergo a full deletion discussion at Commons. De728631 (talk) 14:12, 12 July 2013 (UTC)
- Responded. The protest will continue. Commons is so messy and disorganized, I've heard. So... ✉→Arctic Kangaroo←✎ 14:16, 12 July 2013 (UTC)
