The Green Bay Packers, an American football team in the National Football League (NFL), have taken part in every NFL draft since it began in 1936. The purpose of the draft is to provide a venue for NFL teams to secure the rights to eligible persons, typically college football players, to help form and maintain a roster. The Packers have selected hundreds of players in the draft since it began, with many going on to play for the team.

- Support Though it seems that a split may be necessary as 36-69 is 33 years and 1970 has been nearly 60. But this isn't the place for that. Questions? four Olifanofmrtennant (she/her) 19:09, 3 June 2024 (UTC)
- OlifanofmrTennant I have wrestled with that too. Right now both pages are about he same size in bytes, with the 1970 to present one a little smaller. The split was less to do about size (altho that played a part) and more about the split between the modern and pre-modern drafts. Thanks! « Gonzo fan2007 (talk) @ 19:34, 3 June 2024 (UTC)
- @OlifanofmrTennant & @Gonzo fan2007: For what it's worth, there are 835 picks in the 1936–1969 list and 539 picks in the 1970 onwards list. The similar Detroit Lions lists I'm working on have 803 and 551 entries respectively. This may look like an arbitrary cutoff to those who are unaware of the history, but it makes a lot more sense than it seems at first glance. Hey man im josh (talk) 17:44, 4 June 2024 (UTC)
