Hinge
[edit]Hinge – (page view stats • edit • talk • history) - 189 daily hits
- A very fundamental bearing, that is hardly referenced and majorly consists of unreferenced, indiscriminate information. A level 5 vital article on an under-appreciated yet always recognizable that could use an encyclopedic rework. Utopes (talk / cont) 10:38, 18 November 2023 (UTC)

February 8
[edit]February 8 – (page view stats • edit • talk • history) - 63 daily hits
- Clearly notable article that annually gets displayed on the main page. I've been working on the article for some time and just started a peer review but thought I'd put it here for additional feedback/opinions regarding the state of the article and areas of need of improvement (note: for those unfamiliar with DOY articles, here's the wikiproject guidelines that the article ideally should follow). I'm planning on nominating this article for FL-status once it's ready. Best, Dan the Animator 00:06, 28 October 2023 (UTC)
- Support per nom.--BabbaQ (talk) 15:23, 12 November 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose, AFI isn't a place to upgrade an article to FL class, and though this is a day, this isn't a too much of an special day, just an normal day. SVcode(Talk) 22:21, 12 November 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose, not really seeing the reason for this date to be nominated at AFI above all other dates. If you're planning on turning this into a Featured List, I wish you positive encouragement with that, but that doesn't seem to be AFI's domain. Utopes (talk / cont) 22:23, 12 November 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks for the replies everyone! SVcode and Utopes: about AFI, I wasn't sure where the article was quality-wise and given peer reviews are very slow-going, I thought it wouldn't hurt to nominate it here where the article could get more attention. I've never used AFI before and doubted the article would be accepted more so for its unique wikiproject guidelines than anything so personally, I nominated it hoping the above votes would mention specific issues with the article (or lack thereof) which I could address in the meantime. Given AFI overall is nearly as inactive as the article's peer review, I don't expect any additional votes soon so feel free to close the nom if you want. In any case tho, please leave any comments on the quality of the article (either here or on its peer review page) if y'all have any time! Thanks, Dan the Animator 03:14, 14 November 2023 (UTC)
- Almost forgot about this. Given that I closed the peer review for the article earlier and directly nominated it for FL-status (per my comments on the article's peer review page), an AFI is no longer needed or warranted. @SVcode and Utopes: feel free to close the nomination at your discretion. Thanks, Dan the Animator 02:43, 21 November 2023 (UTC)
- Alright @Dantheanimator:, best of luck with the FL nomination! Utopes (talk / cont) 22:34, 2 December 2023 (UTC)

CEDU
[edit]CEDU – (page view stats • edit • talk • history) - 119 daily hits
- This historic company in america run a group of therapuetic boarding schools and wilderness programs. the history sections of the company are in need of expanison and improvement. 1keyhole (talk) 03:56, 18 April 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose, the article as a whole might need a bit of expansion but article isn't important. SVcode(Talk) 23:44, 9 May 2023 (UTC)
- oppose - for now. This is not for the project.--BabbaQ (talk) 08:01, 18 November 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose, is now assessed at B-class and in general does not seem like AFI is going to be able to do much here. Plus the history has been plenty expanded-ish since then. Utopes (talk / cont) 22:36, 2 December 2023 (UTC)

Positions (song)
[edit]Positions (song) – (page view stats • edit • talk • history) - 153 daily hits
- This article is Mid-Importance in WikiProject Ariana Grande. Brachy08 (Talk)(Contribs) 00:50, 14 July 2023 (UTC)
- Neutral, low hits but needs expansion and could be an important article. Not sure if Mid-Importance in a wikiproject makes the article important. SVcode(Talk) 20:30, 15 July 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose, does not feel like a topic which would benefit from AFI. Mid-importance, and hits becoming less and less over time for a 3-year-old pop song at this point, the efforts feel they could be better spent. Utopes (talk / cont) 07:16, 15 October 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose Too specific for AFI. Wil540 art (talk) 15:44, 12 November 2023 (UTC)

Geographic information system
[edit]Geographic information system – (page view stats • edit • talk • history) - 865 daily hits
This level 5 Vital article is of extreme importance to geography. GIS is the underlying technology for modern spatial analysis and computer cartography and is widely used in a variety of Applications. The page has a lot of text but needs citation, organization, and trimming. I believe with some attention, it can be improved tremendously.
- Support, article with lots of hits needing citations. SVcode(Talk) 23:00, 15 December 2023 (UTC)
- Support, key subject to many a career, this definitely could use more extensive citing and maybe some reorg/trimming but I'd put most of the focus on citing the content. Stefen Towers among the rest! Gab • Gruntwerk 23:23, 15 December 2023 (UTC)

Gulf
[edit]Gulf – (page view stats • edit • talk • history) - 330 daily hits
- Despite being a topic that receives 330 daily pageviews and is regularly talked about in discourse, this page is severely undeveloped. What currently exists here is a 3 sentence stub with 2 references, when a lot more information appears to be necessary. This could include points about formation and climate change impacts, as a cursory thought. Utopes (talk / cont) 05:20, 13 November 2023 (UTC)
- Support, article in need of serious expansion. SVcode(Talk) 23:09, 13 November 2023 (UTC)

Essence Engine
[edit]Essence Engine – (page view stats • edit • talk • history) - 22 daily hits
- A notable game engine (Company of Heroes, one of the video games considered the best, uses it) that is a mere stub no doubt should be an AFI.--RekishiEJ (talk) 17:39, 21 February 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose, less hits. SVcode(Talk) 00:42, 5 March 2023 (UTC)
- @SVcode:Now it has significantly more daily hits, so your argument doesn't stand anymore.--RekishiEJ (talk) 07:10, 16 March 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose, is down to 28 daily pageviews and does not appear to be prevalent enough for AFI. Utopes (talk / cont) 07:21, 15 October 2023 (UTC)

Technology
[edit]Technology – (page view stats • edit • talk • history) - 2,621 daily hits
- This is a Vital level 1 article, which means that it is very important to improve. We would need to add references and maybe expand information so this article could get at least to B-class. We would have to expand its length and possibly add images. With hard work from the community I do believe that we can get this article to B-class. 𝙷𝚎𝚕𝚕𝚘𝚑𝚎𝚊𝚛𝚝 ⋅𝚃𝚊𝚕𝚔⋅ 04:31, 3 September 2022 (UTC)
- Neutral, it has high hits but I'm not sure if AFI is a place to improve okay articles to B-class and above. SVcode(Talk) 23:43, 4 October 2022 (UTC)
- Neutral, important but in a decent state as it is. Emir of Wikipedia (talk) 11:31, 9 October 2022 (UTC)

- Oppose already a B-class article. The person who loves reading (talk) 02:54, 31 May 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose, as this article is B-class and has 136 references and even more sources beyond that. Utopes (talk / cont) 08:08, 13 November 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose Article is B-class. The article is also pretty big and has over a hundred references. Equalwidth (C) 09:54, 24 November 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose, key article but it is B-class, has loads of cites, and while it needs expansion in a couple spots, I can't see why its current editor attention (nearly 1,200 watchers) and heavy hits wouldn't lead to further needed work being covered. Harbor
[edit]Harbor – (page view stats • edit • talk • history) - 271 daily hits
- This is a level 4 Vital article in Technology, yet has major organizational issues and just lists a bunch of harbors in its current form. The page only contains 4 reference for the actual content (out of 7 total), for what little content exists outside of bulleted lists. The remaining three references all serve the point to give undue weight to one picture's caption for a South American harbor. Utopes (talk / cont) 07:55, 13 November 2023 (UTC)
- Support, per above. SVcode(Talk) 01:58, 22 November 2023 (UTC)
